it's based on the calender thingy yes, you have one drawing where they both wears crowns (= marriage ceremony) and another drawing where they both wears crowns but you have something written in red (actual wedding)!

in the novel after the banquet there is no more love square or anything like that and on the schedule looks like xiyun and lanxi have their marriage ceremony to unit their two kingdoms in episodes 32-33 so it should be ok! apparently the wedding scene is in the last episodes so we will have to be patient 😔 but i'm sure we will get kiss scenes in between so it's fine hehe

yup, i think they planned everything together beforehand since lanxi winked?? at her lol, they both know each other feelings so unless we got a breakup episodes 28-29 and they decided to not be together? but i don't think so, they probably planned to let huang chao to win from the start (and since huang chao got to talk and confess to xiyun while she wears the princess outift, it means he won)

in the novel both had doubts about each other identity but i would say lanxi didn't know yet but he still "left" a place for her? deep inside it's like he already knew if you see what i mean!

i find it interesting that wuyan final ambition is not to be emperor but to control from behind, he's not some stupid villain but a very crafty one! he reminds me of these corrupted officials in korean dramas where the prime minister and its family are more powerful than the king

yes and in the novel lanxi is the one who won the marriage? if i remember well, in the drama he's purposely acting weak here (and xiyun seems to know about it like they planned it beforehand), also huang chao didn't confess to xiyun like that, it was from another scene later (where he already knows she's princess xiyun because looks like he thinks she's the princess from youzhou in the drama but i might be wrong)

i'm not sure for which reasons lanxi would be going in drama version but in the novel version he went there because he actually wanted a political marriage to put his hands on youzhou (just like huang chao) and to me (but it's just my assumptions) to also make xiyun a bit jealous (since he kept provoking her), but the moment he was going to get married with her he realized his feelings for xiyun and left to go see her, in the drama version lanxi already knows his feelings for xiyun so all of this will not happen and looks like they'll use the events to plot together against wuyan
