truly, i wish production teams were a bit more mindful and considerate of everyone because a drama isn't just about them but involves a lot people including the actors and others staffs :( and all good then haha
in the novel there is no breakups or misunderstandings but there is some lack of trust between them and conflict…
i watched it already and i loved it hahaa, i might rewatch it to break my heart one more time !! and you can read it here https://www.wattpad.com/story/280472403 :))
there is a trendy topic on wb about how some dialogues (from the palace politics) are similar to another popular drama, but then since the drama reached 1 billions views at the same time it might also just be antis trying to stir up trouble (it's confirmed it's antis who faked screenshots, so let's not worry anymore)
issues with the production team, the first director and producer were together but broke up during the filming, so not only did the producer remove the director name from almost everywhere but she also posted something on wb just before the drama starts basically saying she did her best with what she was given and if the drama isn't perfect it's not her fault, and now there is a trendy topic on wb about how some dialogues (from the palace politics) are similar to another popular drama, but then since the drama reached 1 billions views at the same time it might also just be antis trying to stir up trouble (it's confirmed it's antis who faked screenshots, so let's not worry)
i didn't state it as a fact reason why i used "might", he did mention he prefers modern dramas so it's not entirely wrong of me to not expect another historical drama from him (or at least any time soon), i'll respect his decision in all cases and there is no harm discussing it :)
on chinese platforms alot of people seem to dislike it, there was a weibo topic trending earlier today about it…
it's very valid, i really liked how the plot in the novel was female-lead centric and got a bit disappointed when i noticed the drama turns around male lead instead, some people said they felt tricked with how the trailer announced the plot, so i guess you did well dropping it early because up to episode 18 fl screentime even got reduced and everyone was complaining in the comments section, we hope her arc is coming soon and many of us are getting impatient lol

he's morally grey since he's a lot ambitious and doesn't mind using people to get what he wants, in the novel his deviousness has not limit so xiyun, despite having feelings for him, knows she can't fully trust him and feels twisted, she's ready to give everything to him but is scared, however at the end he gives his heart to her, she was always the only one for him (arhh i want to re read the novel haha) for my part i liked him a lot in the novel since i loooove anti-heros but many didn't really like him for something he did (it added angst and deepness in their relationship reason why i liked it) we got to see a xiyun in full pain and rage because of this and it was my favorite part of the novel lol he's a perfect prince only a bit cunning in the drama so i don't expect any of the angst to happen
it's only my assumptions but since he doesn't like wearing wigs (despite looking so good with long hair haha), he mentionned prefering modern dramas over historical ones, and many issues arised with the production of who rules the world so i imagine it'll be the last one for him but i really hope i'm wrong :(
Hey girl if you want more news...just saw that the first prince said that Lusi is sexy./hot in the live ......which…
it wasn't about necessarily how she looks but about her way of thinking and speaking, since he thinks she's straight-foward, quick and with her own ideas :)
