i have to say i'm still really shocked yu wuyan is evil and i have a bit of hard time accepting because i liked his character a lot in the novel haha but i have to say it's well laid out, in the novel his family was almost considered like gods if i remember well for the same reasons as stated in the drama, and that because of that, because of his family purpose on earth, he thinks he's above humans and allowed to decide life and death of people, like i can't be upset it's a good reason for a villain! but then it's weird he showed interest for xiyun in first episodes and almost killed her in episode 15? not sure how this will go but i won't lie, i always like the impossible love trope between fl and villain so i hope they'll do more with it (and they might since episode 16 mentioned wuyan and xiyun spending time together which made lanxi jealous hehe)
not sure what was in the water in episode 16 but yang yang and lusi looked extra good ... i think it's one of my favorite episode as well, everything was so nice and well paced, plus lanxi finally attacking baili was so satisfying, i can't wait for tomorrow!!
I personally thought it a little anti-climatic. I don't know why, but I was expecting more out of the scene. :(
i agree, they should have add another scene with xiyun connecting the clues and realizing first by herself (seeing her reaction, how she felt about it) and only then deciding to confront lanxi about it, because we only see her not being sure of it with jiurong and when she goes talk to lanxi she's already sure of it? it feels like somethig is missing between it
He has like so many different faces of himself. He tells Lanxi that family is important and yet does not do anything…
exactly, he doesn't want his sons to kill each other yet doesn't do anything to protect lanxi and keep letting baili and her sons harm lanxi repeatedly, he's so inconsistent it's frustratring...
I hope he and Lanxi get closer, I'd love for them to have each other
same, especially we don't see brothers getting along often in this type of dramas so it would be so nice if they do, but i don't have a lot of hope sadly
last comment for today episodes but lanxi dad is seriously getting on my nerves, you can't even say he's caught in the middle because he's protecting the queen but at the time he gets mad at her for trying to harm lanxi? when he cleary doesn't want him on the throne as well? i can get why she's confused as well tbh, the way he tries to kick him of the throne "officially" by trying to make him do a mistake is just as low, he thinks he's better than her when he isn't at all, he's such a hypocrite with lanxi, he tries to set his son up the same way she does (the only difference is his father doesn't want him dead but that's the only thing different) so both can go to hell !!!!
our beloved old bro chang, the world is too cruel against you i'll forgive you even if you turn evil (BUT I HOPE HE WON'T) no seriously, i really liked how he saw through his biatch mum, the shrimp allergy on his arm BROKE MY HEART (he was so emotional when she gave him the bun but he knew she was trying to manipulate him by touching his emotions, just so low and nasty he doesn't deserve any of this, please someone give him love i can't watch him suffer more) his mum is seriously underestimating him and i have a feeling he's going to use her plan against her, for now i don't think he'll betray lanxi and i pray i'm right
Yes I love that the plot is not driven by any ridiculous missunderstandings up to this point. The writers are…
right, the way they avoided those usual annoying fights whenever the leads learn each other secrets, they really understand each other deeply and it's so nice to see
novel spoiler // xiyun listening to lanxi talking about the princess (so herself) is so funny, you notice she's curious as to why he likes her but her reaction to that is... EATING HAHA, the only thing she does is eat, kinda unbothered i'm crying... i like how she wasn't mad at him for hidding his double identity and understood really quick the reasons (i mean she is in the exact same situation this is why, no one else but her can understand him but we're not supposed to know that in the drama yet) in drama version she really NEVER planned to rule her kingdom, it's a bit crazy haha, seeing how she's leaving him despite obviously having a thing for him already, she really planned to live her life as bei feng xi only (and wished to have him on her side as hei feng xi, so cute she wants him to be free like her), so whatever will happen to her brother/father will really break her life plan... (it did it too in the novel but a part of herself already knew she might come back to her kingdom one day since she was the only heir where in the drama not at all since her brother is still alive) and even if it's sad i like how lanxi let her go without hesitation because he wants her to be free and follow her desire.. and that it's enough for him for her to live the life she wants (HE LOVES HER SO MUCH I WANT TO CRY) if only you know she's a princess and is exactly like you my dear lanxi... waiting so much for the moment he learns they're the same persons, i wonder if he'll be upset, relieved, happy... (probably a mix of all haha) the level of understanding of our two leads is seriously my favorite thing, it's like they're soulmates, they know each other thoughts and way of acting without having to say it, i love this so much sorry i activated my fangirl mode...
