Can somebody enlighten me about their names, why they have both "Feng Xi" in their names?
both family names are feng but the characters and meaning of the characters aren’t the same (which is why they’re not related at all) in chinese culture there are several ways to make a surname for someone and for these two they used the: family name + one character from their first name; - feng (lan) xi and feng xi (yun) and since it makes the same surnames “people in the martial world” added another character to distinguish them, and it goes with the way they’re dressed; hei for ml (which means black) and bai for fl (which means white)
as expected from our xiyun she managed to touch lanxi's older brother heart and stop him from trying to kill her... but now i hope he won't be obsessed with her or anything like that i'm a bit worried, especially after learning lanxi lied to him about his health, i'm afraid there is no redemption for his character and things will turn bad...
Revenge will be sweet. I hope however Xiyun's background will be cut to just one or two episodes. Seems they stay…
i can't wait haha and same here, i really like her kingdom with all her generals, there are few scenes about her past and also one particular with lanxi i hope we will see, plus after she will be back in lanxi's home again for long so i'm impatiently waiting for her story to be shown!
impatiently waiting for lanxi's revenge on his family and i hope they keep it as bloody as in the novel, all of them including the ministers are so nasty... otherwise i'm enjoying the scenes between our two leads so much they give me butterflies in my stomatch!!
Yes I totally agree with this sentiment. I would much rather see two strong females who happen to both like the…
they had this exact relationship in the novel (feng wu was just a dancer so she didn’t have any power to compete against her even if she still wished a bit inside lanxi might marry her one day ) so i really hope they’ll keep it like this 😭
I'm also wondering how the FL can live so carefreely in Jianghu considering her true identity is a princess lol.…
she actually has a lot of money hidden in her small kingdom haha, but yup you’ll know why, basically she never wanted to rule the kingdom (and she wasn’t supposed to), she was in conflict with her father and created bai feng xi to escape her fate and lives the life she always wanted, but with her father sickness she knew it was inevitable and when she went home, she felt the weight of the responsibilities and couldn’t let her people suffer (especially with the war going on) reason why she took over the throne after his death but since she’s not born ruler this is why “things” will happen haha i already spoiled a lot so i won’t say more!!
I hope that Bai Feng Xi manages to charm Chang and he likes her instead XD But yes would be sad if Lanxi ended…
it’s hard to say right now, in the novel there wasn’t much about his older brother (he was only getting along with his uncle and his uncle son which i’m surprised to not see) and his older brother had the same fate than his mum and younger brother so i wonder what they’ll do in the drama and i have the same feeling that ren’s dad won’t accept xiyun either because she has no noble background and can’t help lanxi gets the the throne but he might change his mind after he gets to know her or when he learns she’s a princess

i won’t spoil too much but her father felt remorseful for what happened in her past and even if he wasn’t pleased with her living this way at first he ended by accepting and was dealing with everything alone (xiyun is his only remaining descendant so there is no conflict and her family is the opposite to lanxi’s one, they even talked about it in the novel) until he got sick, but even after that he was very understanding and didn’t force her to rule the kingdom
praying fingers and toes they don’t make qi wu annoying and keep her as cool as in the novel, i refuse to dislike any character played by queen xuan lu 😭 (need her and xiyun to become besties)
I hope that Bai Feng Xi manages to charm Chang and he likes her instead XD But yes would be sad if Lanxi ended…
yup i can’t wait to know! and right, everyone is very unstable and killing means nothing to them 😭 (but it was very common in royal families after all…) in the book the way lanxi dealt with his family was honestly so bloody (despite very satisfying but still haha), but looks like lanxi drama version is less dark so they might change that
@10katie01 you’re right lanxi might know about it (and maybe it’ll help with the situation), and same thing here i feel bad for him and i understand that as a prince he can’t let anyone know or have rumors go out but killing people is too much, even xiyun who literally saved his life 😭 his character is very unstable and impulsive since episode 1 i don’t like his way to deal with anything, but since he’s not inherently bad, for his character development i feel like either he goes the evil path and betrays lanxi (with regrets at the end) or gets better
I hope that Bai Feng Xi manages to charm Chang and he likes her instead XD But yes would be sad if Lanxi ended…
@Levitate14 that’s what i hope so as well 😭 episode 11 preview gives me hope, i don’t think she’ll recognizes him directly so he might not try to kill her again, and looks like she’ll protect him against the assassins
