A very late reply but your comment is so true. I thought this drama was a masterpiece and I legit couldn't get it out of my head for ages and then to see people hating on it I was so confused lol

Judging by a lot of the comments I was expecting this to be terrible but I fully enjoyed it just as much as the first season. Still wondering how anybody survived that many concussions and blows to the face! Also, Park Ji Hoon has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen, I don't know how the bullies didn't take one look at this little puppy face and just stop immediately.

I know at first glance it does seem like the Crown Princess is being cold towards the Crown Prince but when you really sit and think about it she's got such a sad life. From a young age she's been taught that she will be marrying into royalty, she cannot step a foot out of line. She probably thinks he doesn't really love her. She's not allowed to leave the palace whatsoever and one of her closest friends has just died. On top of that, the one thing that could actually bring her a bit of happiness and a reason for carrying on is to have a child and even that is cruelly not happening for her. I just wish this show had better subs because it's kind of ruining the experience, I will watch it again if Viki ever picks it up.

I'm guessing the translation was off and wasn't really what he was saying. However, if it is correct I'm assuming in his head he's probably like well she's being aloof so I'll be aloof even harder as to not scare her off but it's done the opposite lol

I'm guessing that female solider was the one who shot the dad with the sick daughter? Looked like she aimed pretty low and will probably try and save him somehow. Reading these comments I was expecting this season to be atrocious but I enjoyed it. Loved the trans character, she had a heart of gold. Gihun continues to think he knows best when all he did was lead lambs to the slaughter.

I'm on ep 15 now and I'm struggling so bad! They are the most mismatched pairing I've ever come across. How am I supposed to become invested in the main couple's storyline when there is no substance? We have no idea why either of them fell in love with each other. I'm the same as you, I knew I wasn't watching a masterpiece but Gwi has charisma and Hye Ryeong has an actual personality and has layers to her so at least I can survive on the crumbs!

I’m on episode 11 and this is becoming a chore. When you’re actively rooting for the vampire to kill the “good guys” there is definitely something wrong with the drama. Main couple have negative chemistry and the way they’re forcing romance into what should be a teacher/student relationship at best is dragging the drama down even further. Gwi and Choi Hye Ryung are the only interesting characters.

I do really enjoy Pachinko but the modern day stuff for me really drags it down and I mean this in terms of Solomon. Even in the first series, his storyline is just too lacklustre when you compare it to Sunja's past. I wish they had spent more time with her youth. Again, I would like to clarify that I don't mind the different timelines when it's about Sunja but I just cannot get myself to be interested in his problems.

I agree tbh the concept of it is a bit silly when he was given it in episode one when they had only just met. It's not even a nice necklace 😅

I really really wanted to like this and I was so looking forward to it but it's just not giving what I thought it was going to give. Inn and Great have amazing chemistry though, there's no denying that but the story just feels a little juvenile.

Overall I really liked this but there were parts that definitely needed more time. Toranaga didn't feel very fleshed out to me especially when opposite a character like Yabushige. The romance between Mariko and John didn't really work for me either, I know it wasn't the main focus which is fine but I do feel like under the circumstances it should have felt more heart breaking but it just didn't. Perhaps the chemistry just wasn't that great between them. Regardless of that, Shogun is still an enjoyable watch.

It's so strange, when I first watched this I'd look forward to every episode and I definitely had a favourite couple. However, now when I look back it really wasn't a cohesive show and I do think the trailer sold a more exciting story than what it actually came to be. I don't really have that big of a problem with fixed pairings as I have often wished to see actors I liked in a different series together so it makes sense in a way. However I do think that was what ruined this show - characters didn't get a chance to grow as individuals as the aim was always keeping the fixed pairings together.

It's ridiculous, I happen to think he's a really good actor. Very natural and he's handsome. This series is being held to a weirdly high standard as well for some reason. I think it's fantastic, I'm loving it and when you look at some of the BL shows that people are gobbling up it is sending me slightly insane that this is the one that's catching heat.

Poor guy is being criticised for his natural lips now like what do people want him to do? Not everyone is blessed with full lips 🤷

Really don't understand why this is being so heavily criticised when there's so much trash out there that has the leads fall in love within the first episode which is just nonsensical. We're not even half way through, if they got together super fast we'd be left without a story and people would be complaining that the characters have no personality outside of the relationship. I'm really enjoying this and love both Pat and Jeng. Pat has the sweetest smile I've ever seen and Jeng being a mature older man just hits different.

I have never wanted a fictional man to die more than NJD. To rape somebody and then be hellbent on being seen as the champion for victims’ rights is pure insanity. Also I can’t work out why the friend would keep living in the same house after that. Such a shame, Ki Young and Hye Joo would have had much better lives together if things had been different.
