I just saw a few minutes of AvenueX’s review on this ShenLi series and no idea what she’s talking about, her views are so biased and contradictory: one minute she said this Xianxia is predictable in terms of plot, another minute she was criticizing LGX for being bulky and not skinny like other gods. I actually love that LGX looks meaty in this series and not scrawny like other actors. Anyway, I’m also super biased to our OG XingYue couple and this series will be a long time favorite!! ❤️

Agree 1000000%!! I was bawling my eyes out since episode 37…but man the part when XZ died, the way they both sobbed together was really painful to watch, that one hurt my heart…and that was the beginning of episode 38, but by the end of the same episode they flipped and gave us the comedic moment with grandpa emperor being his silly and childish self bringing the demon emperor with him and I laughed out loud!! Then episode 39 was all toothache for me because I laughed and smiled so much, this is how all dramas should end, with a FULL happy life ending, not a rushed few seconds…this series was EVERYTHING!! Ohh and how about XZ being the gossip queen munching on sunflower seeds and sipping cocktails?! Our ancient Devine god really is the god of shamelessness, but super cute!! 🥰
At the last episode we get to see a carefree and laid back XingZhi, which is his true personality to begin with. Thinking back to the convo he had with QingYe where he was described as the last God who was born without any assigned duty and that was why he always joked around. Now that he’s no longer shackled with duties and responsibilities we see this side of him all the time, which I love!! And SL is the perfect Yang to his Yin!! ❤️
