I noticed that the explicit scenes are in the first two eps, if you skip those scenes (contribute nothing to the plot tbh), you'll get to the much better stuff in the drama. This was a great drama and everything was really unpredictable. I give this a solid 8.5/10. Could have been much higher if the writer came up with more clever ways to handle things. This drama contains so much stupidity it's surreal but besides this, it is great.

Ohhh no! Each series has its own different storyline. You don't have to watch all the series in condor heroes to understand it. They do make slight references to the other stories but it is nothing major. :)

I’m going through your reviews for the dramas that I’ve watched before and I have to say I share the same thoughts as you on every review!! Your description of angelababy is SPOT on. This show was a load of crap. The ONLY reason I even decided to finish it was because I found Gan Ting Ting to be quite stunning. Also angela’s Costume and hair was nice to look at. Besides that, painful.

LOL my thoughts exactly!! This drama is so hypocritical. The characters really are too perfect and super boring. I’ve heard of Zheng Shuang’s bad acting before and when I watched it I was like she’s not THAT bad but once their first kiss scene happened, I was legit traumatized. it was HORRENDOUS. Yang yang could literally have the same effect kissing a mannequin LOL. I was legit about to stop at ep 19 because their kiss scenes just had me screaming NO! but Yang Yang totally captured me with his looks so I finished it by skipping 70% of each episode just to watch him lollll. This drama is good for fanservice (ok minus the kiss scenes) and visuals. Nonexistent plot tbh

Bruh wtf is up with the main female lead? No offense, Michelle Chen is cute but every Jin Yong novel fan KNOWS that Xiao Long Nu is one of the top beauties of his novels. She's beautiful and gives off a pure vibe. Michelle doesn't exude this type of aura. Also, how can Li Mo Chou and all of the supporting roles be prettier than Xiao Long Nu herself??? Shocking. That hair is also bogus. Worst adaptation ever.

I don't like the gaming parts of this drama bc it really is cringy but that's probably bc I'm not a gamer so I really cannot relate whenever they let their games affect their emotions. I watched to ep 19 and had to drop. I initially watched this drama for zheng shuang but then Yang Yang's acting skills are superb. Zheng shuang is not that bad at acting but oh my goodness gracious, this girl cannot kiss AT ALL. Every kiss scene felt WRONG and Yang Yang was literally kissing A WALL. plot is alright, not bad, not good. This drama is worth it for yang yang and their romance in the beginning, later on it's just too cringy due to the kiss scenes.

I prefer old adaptations to this. Li Yi Tong has a very cute face so she just doesn't carry out the bratty, perverse attitude of Huang Rong well. Other than that, it's alright. Not the best adaptation.

Review Border Town Prodigal
Hey!! So sorry for the late reply but YES! Glad to know that we're on the same page.. I love Zhu Yi Long and he's an awesome actor but he tends to get paired up with annoying female leads arghhh! I haven't watch that drama but I've been eyeing that one though. Viann simply annoys me because she's such a spoiled brat but yet later on she basically leeches onto him LOL. I watched her in the Romance of Condor Heroes and she was great as Li Mo Chou so I guess her role in this drama was too forced romance-wise that it got annoying.
