I watch a lot of romance dramas and tbh this is really refreshing to me that it isn’t! It feels way more mysterious and bigger than a love story. There’s actually still a lot of chemistry and tension between ML and supporting leads, so it still scratches that itch in a way

Episode 7 is quite literally one of the most visually breathtaking scenes of television I have EVER seen. I don’t even know how to describe it, the scale and artistry in this show is beyond movies. The plot has started to become quite intricate from episode 5 onwards, so if you’re questioning whether to watch this because you want something more than visuals to enjoy, I absolutely urge you to. Anyone who doesn’t watch this drama is missing out on something one of a kind and never been done before. I’ve never seen a cdrama like this which incorporates elements of sci-fi and the plot is definitely not anything I’ve encountered before. I’m SO intrigued to learn everything about Tang Li Ci, he’s so much more complex than what he appears. I know nothing about the original story so I’m super excited to see it all unfold. All the supporting cast and new characters are stunning and acting incredibly. This is soo beyond my expectations !

I’m at episode 5 and the plot is really intensifying, I wouldn’t drop it just yet! Things are getting veryyyy interesting

Wow wow wow I’ve only seen the first two episodes so far but this is the most visually stunning show I’ve ever seen in eastern and western standards. The filming of this is no joke ! And the mystery is setting root quite nicely, the pacing on this and martial art scenes are perfect

It definitely has a more lighthearted and slightly overly comedic feel, but it wasn’t over the top imo. The tone changes quite a bit as the plot gets more intricate! I thought it was fun

It’s a bit more comedic but I’m actually really loving it now ! It gets better once you get past the first few episodes imo

no I’m seriously loving this new vengeful princess look on her, she finally tapped into her full hating potential and let out all the crazy 😅

I think it may end up being my favourite “historical” drama of the year - it’s riveting and the plot and chemistry is sooo good.

I cannot tell you how happy I am that I stumbled on this drama and how utterly gorgeous it was. It’s slightly lower budget I think than some of the bigger dramas I’ve seen but the romance and love is on the same level as TTEOTM and LBFAD for me. Their chemistry is SIZZLING and we get so much of it ♥️ If you’re wondering whether to give this a chance or not, don’t even hesitate. One of the most delightful finds for me ever since I started watching cdramas

Personally, I could never reconcile after what he put her through. Though perhaps a result of unintended consequences, he was thoughtless and callus to the reality and impact of what he had done to her - and that is precisely why she has this unquenchable rage. I could, perhaps, see forgiving him from afar once he proves he understands just how catastrophic the cost of his aloof attitude in life has been to her directly… but I could never fully let go to reconcile. Some damage is too deep to do anything but hurt

I am absolutely LOVING how unhinged Pak Bo Gum is in this!! Giving major Healer vibes with his rooftop chase and some truly intense emotional standoffs with the villain. It’s has some similar tones to Undercover High School but with much better execution in the story, actually capable agents and comedic timing. I can understand if this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but personally I think this is such a refreshing drama and super captivating

ummm… I’m barely into the first ep and this seems extremely low budget with horrible cgi, styling, makeup, and absolutely nothingburger plot line ?? Like, so much worse than I was expecting and I already wasn’t expecting much from the reviews…
