thanks for your friend request. ;-) By the way how are you finding Scandal? I am thinking of watching it but I am afraid it might be a heavy melodrama like May Queen.

Hi Shark, if I remember well I found the raws+subtitles of Seinaru Kaibutsutachi on D-addicts quite a few months ago. They should still be on there now. I hope you find them. :)

Good morning Edinaa, I hope you will have more time today to catch up with the current dramas. Out of the ones you mentioned I am only watching TMS as I dropped Good Doctor because of the bullying that was going on towards Joo Won's character. I am thinking of starting Two Weeks soon...what do you think of it so far? For what concerns Jdramas I actually prefer those of the past as in the past two years the quality of Jdramas has gone down...however a really good drama of this year is Tonbi and Soratobu Kouhoushitsu is not too bad either. If you are interested in Jdramas of the past you can take a look at my list at those that I rated with 9 and 10. Happy drama watching! :)
I totally agree with all your best kisses list!! They were all really good and my favourite is the Coffee Prince one...there was another really great kiss in this drama and it was the one in Han Gyul's apartment at the end of ep. 15.
I agree that the story is very slow (I still need to watch the last episode as I am waiting for the subs)...however I enjoyed the beach setting and the filmography. Besides that there really was not much to the plot except that it enhanced friendship.

Good morning Edinaa,
I hope you will decide to watch Bridal Mask as it is really a work of art in my opinion although rather harsh. For what concerns King of Dramas...I have only reached the 3rd episode so far and I am finding it intriguing and convincing up to know. I will let you know my opinion by the end. Happy Drama watching. ;)
This drama deals with a very difficult time in Korea and I wasn't expecting anything different when I first started watching it, as a lot of suffering and hardship can be felt especially in the last episodes of the story. However the plot wasn't as harsh as in Bridal Mask and a lot of space was also given to romance and some comedy here and there especially at the beginning. The acting was brilliant and I wasn't disappointed by Kang Ji Hwan and Ha Ji Min who played their roles in an excellent way as well as the remainder of the cast. I loved the costumes, the setting and the OST and I am really glad I discovered this drama which deserved a full 8 from me.

Hi Pretty...Can you Hear my heart is brilliant but it does take a little bit of patience whilst watching it as it deals with a few really tough themes like dementia and deafness...however if you manage to pull through it, it really enriches you by the end of it and I think I will never forget that drama. For what concerns King of Dramas I have only just started it but I can tell already that I will enjoy it much mor than The World that They Live In which was a little too focused on the technicalities of drama making, whereas KOD so far seems more focused on the personal challenges of those actually producing dramas. Do let me know if you decide to watch it.

I think Knife and Flower is a very underrated drama as I personally enjoyed it. It is a different saeguk than usual as it concerns a different historical time compared to the one usually shown in saeguks and most of all it has a very special cinematography with many 'still type' images and very artistic shots. The costumes and OST is very good too, however the plot itself is not particularly original as it reminded me a little bit of the Romeo and Juliet story. In any case I rated it 9 because of the stunning way in which it was technically produced and because the acting was very good too. I don't know if you have watched this but the ending apparently represents what really happened at that time, therefore I just accepted it as part of the story.

Good morning Edinaa,
Bridal Mask is really a fantastic drama...it is definitely amongst my Top 5 favourite dramas of all times! I have to warn you that it is quite heavy going at parts with quite a lot of violence in it too, but this is what makes it so deep and moving as it represents something that more or less really happened in Korea and Joo Won is absolutely brilliant in this! I think it is a must watch for all drama lovers like myself. No I havent's started watching Tdramas as yet as for me it is a big culture shock to get used to another language...it was so when I moved on from Jdramas to Kdramas as it took me a while to get used to the different language sounds. I might start one day when I get fed up with the current dramas that I am watching. ;)

Hi, I am glad you enjoyed Big and I agree with you that some points should have been cleared better.I don't think that Yoon Jae and Da Ran were already married but I do remember that he was thinking of proposing to her, hence the ring that she was so worried about wearing. Yes that part was left a little bit in the air as well as what happened to both brothers after the switch. In any case Gong Yoo was definitely the one to brighten all this drama and I am sure it was mainly a success because of him. Yes I am actually loving The Master's Sun and I have to say that it is the first Hong Sisters drama that I am enjoying so much. I heartly recommend it if you are not already watching it.
I found out that this drama was based on real history only at the end of the last episode. I really thought this drama was beautiful mostly for the incredible cinematography, music and costumes. The acting was also brilliant but not so much that of the main leads as that of the General and other side characters like the evil Nam Saeng (I had never seen No Min Woo before and I can say that he was incredibly good at playing the villain here). Unfortunately this drama had low ratings in Korea probably owing to the fact that it was a different saeguk than usual and also that it was shown on the same days as TMS. I gave it a 9 mostly for how it was produced technically rather than for the story in itself which was in any case more romantic than many other saeguks seen before.

Hi Pretty...yes I came across Capital Scandal by chance as I was looking for something different to watch. I am halfway through it and I am enjoying it as the setting is in the 30ies in Korea (the same as in Bridal Mask) although the story is not so tragic but still sometimes harsh and realistic. The acting is really good (Hang Ji Hwan and Han Ji Min are brilliant here!) and I am enjoying the costumes and the music too...so far it is an 8 for me which is not bad at all. So I am recommending it to you. For what concerns saeguks I enjoyed Painter in the Wind and a Tree with Deep Roots although neither of them were particularly romantic but they taught me a lot about Korea's history. I plan to watch Chuno and Iljimae soon which I have been told are really good...I don't want to watch dramas which are too long though. Have you watched any of these?

Hi Edinaa, Goddess of Fire is quite good so far...the aspect that I enjoy more is the artistic part concerning how ceramics was made in that time period...the plot otherwise is not particularly original, but I am enjoying it anyway. I am halfway through Capital Scandal and I like it so far as the setting is in the '30ies in Korea like in Bridal Mask but the story is a little bit lighter and not as tragic although still realistic and involving.
Yes I am still watching some currently shown Jdramas too although I find that their quality has gone down in the past two years.

Hi Edinaa,
what a lovely place you come from!! Yes I like historical dramas too and I have been watching the Goddess of Fire and Blade and Petal which are currently being showin in Korea, whereas I have seen many Saeugks of the past which I have enjoyed. My weekend was very quiet and I mostly read and watched dramas and I hope yours was good with your guests.
At the moment I am also watching The Master's Sun and Capital Scandal which are pretty good. :-)
