I really enjoyed this drama. The music is good, the group singing is good and also the story is very inspiring. I consider it the Japanese version of Glee but with an outstanding actress like Amami Yuki.

OK, the ending of this drama was a little bit strange but this for me didn't take away the fact that I enjoyed watching it until the very end. Of course I am biased as I am a Gong Yoo fan and I admit he was the main reason for my watching this, however I found the ending to be coherent with the remainder of the plot which is totally unrealistic anyway. As I wrote in my review of the last episode I believe the scriptwriters decided to end it the way that many spectators were subconsciously hoping for. A more logical ending would have been pretty weird after such a long and winding love story at least in my opinion. Gong Yoo's acting is absolutely superb here and it definitely compensates for the weak story line and the not too attractive personality of the female character.

Nice drama and a very interesting insight on what the life of a Japanese idol can be like when he decides to get married. Good for a lightweight watch.
On A Millionaire's First Love Aug 23, 2012
I enjoyed this love story even if it was sad. It is very well acted by Hyun Bin and it was a little strange to see him much younger and with longer hair compared to Secret Garden. The setting was very nice too.

Hi Bladey, thanks for your recommendations. It is good to know that I have lots of nice dramas ahead to watch. I somehow finished the Jdramas that interest me for the moment, aside from the currently showing ones which is why I am happy I have a lot to choose from Kdramas. I am downloading City Hall at the moment and I am looking forward to that one too. I will be interested to hear your opinion on Rich Man and Rescue when you watch them.

Hi KT, no I haven't seen The Crucible as I don't enjoy sad or dramatic stories although it would be interesting for me to see him in such a serious role as I read that he is really good on there. I have just started watching Big and it was a shock as he obviously is much older than in Coffee Prince and Biscuit Teacher and the plot for me is not as involving as his previous dramas. His acting is as always excellent however. I am not surprised that you are rewatching Coffe Prince as I couldn't stop myself from watching Biscuit Teacher for twice in a row and will soon re-watch Coffee Prince too...he is way too cool to ignore that's the problem!!

Hi Bladey, great to hear from you!! I am glad you are enjoying Legal High, but as for me I am a little bit fed up with detective/lawyers kind of plots and I have gone back to romantic comedies. As you probably noticed I discovered Kdramas and was totally blown away by them. I watched Coffee Prince, Secret Garden and Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy (twice) and now I am watching Big. I am totally swept away by Gong Yoo and on the whole I am feeling that as far as romantic comedies go the Korean ones are better (LOL I never thought I would say this). However I am also enjoying Summer Rescue (and a few other Jdramas currently shown) very much indeed. I am finding it a very delicate and well told story and I love the mountain scenery. Are you watching it too...and what about Rich Man/Poor Woman?

thanks for the friend request. I enjoyed reading your bio, I only just discovered K-dramas and I can see what you mean in comparison to J-dramas which were my first love. At the moment I am in a 'loop' of watching dramas with Gong Yoo who I see is on your profile photo!! I would never stop looking at him, so cool.
On Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy Aug 12, 2012
I absolutely enjoyed this drama. The chemistry between Gong Yoo and Gong Hyo Jin was amazing and I appreciated the good acting also of the other main characters. I really wish such a devoted person existed in real life however there is nothing wrong with dreaming and watching this drama makes the dreams come true. I evaluated it 9/10 and will certainly watch it again.
On Secret Garden Aug 2, 2012
this is the second Kdrama that I watched and I chose it because of all the positive ratings that I had read. I am confirming that this is a fantastic drama which I rated 10, very well acted with lovely settings and clothes too. When the 'fantasy' part started I was a little bit afraid that it would spoil the romance and the story and I have to say that it is the part that I enjoyed less, however it blended perfectly with the plot and it kept the flow interesting for me nevertheless.I really appreciated the acting of the side characters too, like Oska and his love story, the director and the secretary too...the whole drama is perfect!
On Coffee Prince Jul 24, 2012
This was my first ever Kdrama after watching about 60 Jdramas. After the initial shock for the language difference and the yucky scenes of full mouths, toilet scenes and people cleaning their toes and ears, I could get well into the story and loved it from the first minute to the last. I chose this drama because of its wonderful reviews and I was very pleased with it and will probably watch more Kdramas from now on. I absolutely adored the interactions between the two main characters and appreciated the way they showed how a love story realistically develops also between side characters like his cousin's or her mother's.

This was a funny out of the ordinary drama.Nagase is amazing in playing these roles and even if the story is not realistic it really makes a pleasant watch with a fabulous OST sung by one of the main characters.

This was a very delicate and poetic drama. At first I was a little skeptical about watching a story that was related so close to death but I ended up appreciating the way it was all treated by giving a great emphasis to family and frienship ties. Yamapi was definitely brilliant in this and I agree that his acting has improved. All in all a great cast and an enriching story.
On Kagi no Kakatta Heya Jul 11, 2012
This drama is absolutely brilliant!!! I enjoyed everything about it (except the episode on spiders) and I thought Enomoto san was a great character and very well played by Ohno Satoshi. The other two lead characters were great too. I am giving this a 9 and hope there will be a second season.
On Shooting Star Jun 30, 2012
This was very delicate story that I enjoyed but with not so much chemistry between the lead actors. I also appreciated very much Matsuda Shota's role.

Title Buzzer Beat
This was a nice drama with a rather straightfoward plot regarding a love story mixed with sports. It is the second drama that I watch with Yamapi and I find his acting particular as it is always difficult to understand the feelings of the characters that he plays. As in many Jdramas also all the side characters are fundamental and very good actors too.
