When I started watching this I thought it would be the typical Korean romcom and wasn't expecting too much out of it. However it ended up surprising me mostly because of the strength of the female character which was quite unusual for me so far. All in all I had a very pleasant time watching this as all the characters had a soft and good side to them and it was a cheerful and lighthearted drama. I will give it a higher mark than usual, a 9 because of its originality.

I certainly fell for the good boys in City Hunter (the Prosecutor) and in King2Hearts (Jo Jung Suk). There was something about them that made my heart melt and cheer for them no matter what and even if it was obvious that the bad boys would win in the end. I agree that Zenkai girl was an exception in which the good guy gets to win and for this reason it was quite original.

I really believe this (and the first series) is amongst the best Japanese dramas I have seen so far. It is incredibly well acted mostly by Jin himself but also from all the other characters in the story. The poetry and delicacy of this drama are amazing and the costumes, the OST, the setting are so, so beautiful.Yes, I cringed and looked away during the detailed medical close ups but it was worth it because I would have missed something amazing. I will look for the manga of this (never read mangas in my life before) and will certainly rewatch it in the future. Japan lovers must not in any way miss watching this.

it is a great drama indeed and it came as a real surprise as I had no idea it could be so good.

I enjoyed reading this even if I only watched Love Shuffle and Don Quixote out of these but I have seen him also in Tsuki no Koibito, Bara no Nai Hanaya and Nagareboshi and I agree that he is a really good and fascinating actor. Somehow the attention is always drawn to him even when he doesn't play the leading role because he has a great charisma. I am looking forwards to seeing more of his works thanks to your guide.

Like another viewer on here, I dropped this drama after watching the second episode. I did this unwillingly because I realized that the actors were good (I have seen them before) and being Italian I was extremely interested in the 'food' part of the story. However the sexist aspect on here really upset me and most of all the way Gong Yyo Jin reacted (or should we say didn't react) to all the ill treating that she went through was really too much to bear. Having read the reviews I am aware that the story will improve in next episodes but I am not willing to witness any more humiliations just for the sake of love between the two main leads or career advancement of one of them.

I've watched three of these Coffee Prince, Secret Garden and the Jversion of You're Beautiful. They are all excellent dramas to which I gave top marks but I don't think I would want to watch too many gender bender dramas as I would easily get fed up with the same type of plot.

This was truly and AMAZING drama. It will certainly go on my all time favourites. Everything was just perfect and each episode made me jump in anxiety and surprise. All the actors, the goodies (a special mention MUST go to Jo Jung Suk) and the baddies, the plot, the settings and the OST. I heartly recommend all Kdrama lovers to watch this as I am sure it will remain considered amongst the best ever made for a very long time. Thumbs up for a true masterpiece.

Hi thanks so much for your friend request...I am so pleased to meet another 'older' viewer like myself. I saw that you are watching City Hunter which is also one of my all time favourites. Do come and take a look at my list if you want and we can exchange views on our favourite dramas.

I have seen him in Buzzer Beat and Ending Planner and I find him quite fascinating because he is always serious and smiles very rarely. I am looking forward to seeing him in Monsters. (great idea to write Stalkers Guides!)

This drama has an interesting story as it is a good mixture of Japanese and Korean identities. I was also surprised to hear a Korean OST and also quite a lot of Korean being spoken in the drama. I would say that this is the only positive factor about this story as it aimed to create a bridge between these two populations.I personally didn't enjoy the acting, in particular of the female lead who was too stiff and unnatural and I found the pace of the drama really too slow in many moments. I gave it a 6 and I only recommend it as a 'filler' drama.

I was very impressed with this drama. The story is fascinating, delicate, moving and absorbing and I never expected this from a historical drama and I was so pleasantly surprised. It is the first time that I see Osawa Takao and I found his acting brilliant and convincing so I will surely watch the sequel Jin 2. I highly recommend it but warn those with a delicate stomach that there are some quite explicit medical scenes in this drama.
