I dropped it at ep6 and just followed the general plot thanks to Twitter. But out of curiosity were Tae Oh’s…
I don't understand it much, but they did appear at the end. Seems like his stepfather got jailed for supposedly killing his mother, but Tae Oh's mother is alive. I am going to just guess that Tae Oh framed his stepfather.
I think In Ha devised a plan to have the stepfather released and kill the mother. The mother died.
Don't know how it relates to Tae Oh specifically chosing Kang Oh to infiltrate. Maybe, he just wants to be rich so his stepfather can never threaten them again. (Or his dream is just to watch the fireworks at Kang Oh Tower, lol)
I might be wrong though cause I just skimmed through.
it dropped again... lmao, can someone give me specific reasons why they think it's sooo terrible? other than FL…
I don't know why you are constantly asking when there have been several replies and answers to your questions that do not involve FL and "kiss".
To name a few: 1. Bad script 2. Bad execution especially in portraying consistency and complexity 3. Arbitrary character development 4. Plot armor for the male lead 5. Illogical political and business schemes 6. Lack of establishing background for character motivation 7. Bad cuts 8. Bad directing 9. Lack of pay-off 10. Lack of good and actual conflict to move the story along 11. Unsustained foreshadowing 12. Unresolved story lines
And before you go on a tangent that people can't appreciate morally grey characters. It is not that. Can't you see that some are even wishing for one character to go on a killing spree?
Once again, the problem is the execution. This is just like the problem in book adaptations that are turned into movies. You have a great material, but the greatness does not transfer into the movie because of bad execution. So apply that principle in this drama. The plot promises you a morally grey character but fails to execute it.
Just a thought:I always wondered as to why Han Tae Oh cares about Kang Hee Jiu. And I think perhaps it is because…
I strongly believe there is no ounce of romance between them. Tae Oh just sees Hee Joo like a sister. That should be the best for Hee Joo given the deep history between Tae Oh and Hye Won. Hee Joo needs a better man.
did inha kill himself in prison or is he still alive?
Writers did not know how to resolve his character ending. They could not decide between making him purely evil or redeemable.
If it was all about power for him, I do not understand why he would feel guilty and take the easy way. But if he truly valued those friendship, then how come there was no demonstration of his conflict while he was on a murder spree.
1. Tae Oh is the heir 2. Hee Jin went on a trip for soul-searching 3. In Ha was imprisoned for the murders then committed suicide in prison 4. Do not know what Hye Won did, but she seems to be in charge of some business 5. On the romance aspect, it is just left open ended. 6. Chairman is alive
He could have been pseudo-adopted by the chairman 5 years ago if he hadn't been carrying InHa's crazy ass.
True. He has maxed out his charisma skill that everyone is just charmed to give everything to him. There was definitely no need to ally with In Ha unless the writer wanted to show that Tae Oh might be greedy but he is not heartless. By establishing a "friendship" with In Ha, viewers are supposed to appreciate Tae Oh because he still has a heart. Except that it made the entire story convoluted.
