it can't be an excuse. Jang DaA slayed her role in pyramid game. She didn’t even starred in guest role
True. Even Choi Hee Jin's starting role was good. The audience is not even asking for a stellar performance, but at the very least, she should have the standard skill set.
Unfortunately, the odds are even more against her because the drama is a high-value production and several fans of either the male leads waited for this show. The expectations were set too high.
Finally, I haven't started the show yet but have seen a lot of hate towards FL she can't act etc saying the support…
I think it's not an excuse, especially when compared to the rookie actress in Pyramid Game. She should at least have bare minimum skills given that she already appeared in other shows.
But then again, it is the director's fault for picking her. She doesn't suit this genre. Her team should only have her pick lighthearted shows where being good-looking is enough.
It's not worth it. It only felt like she was there for two minutes or so. Just imagine In Ha talking to a mannequin…
Also, it was so funny to watch the FL just sleep on the bed. I didn't understand the point of that, haha.
I was thinking this could have been an opportunity to show off a good character point for the FL. She could be presented as someone resourceful. Like they could write a scene of her escaping on her own and getting the upper hand over In Ha so that In Ha would not have another chance to threaten her.
i have watched the first four episodes and the FL makes me want to punch my screen. According to most of the comments…
It's not worth it. It only felt like she was there for two minutes or so. Just imagine In Ha talking to a mannequin lying in bed then taking out that mannequin after.
If Hong Su Zu's agency wants her to further her acting career, they really need to pick the right genre and script.
I came across Hong Su Zu's roles in Sweet Home and Lovestruck in the City. Based on those, she really just does not have the range as an actress. I do not know if it is due to nervousness or being highly conscious, but her face and body are not that expressive as well.
I believe those kind of flaws would not stick out as much if she starred in a rom-com. Her pretty face alone should be able to carry her through those even with inadequate skills as long as it is a lighthearted show.
Another safety net needed is that her character should be written as likable as possible so as to avoid receiving severe criticism. With that, she can improve her skills with less hate from the audience.
In the meantime, she should steer away from dramas involving politics, intrigue and those that require micro-expressions and nuances.
This should also be a lesson for inexperienced directors and writers. First of all, they should have a decent story. But if they really want to push a detestable character, they should not rely on visuals alone to compensate for the deficiency. They should prioritize skills.
haven't seen ep 8 and 9. what's going on in the show? Has it got a bit interesting or it continues to be more…
I would say it's still messed up but slightly tolerable because it's hilariously bad.
All the political and business moves are illogical. Everything would be solved if the chairman did not allow the three leads to take part in the company. I still do not understand how those three have a sway on him or the shareholders and the board.
Everything is written in a way that is convenient for Tae Oh. There's no actual threat in this story. He's just the designated main character . He gets everything without working hard.
In Ha is just the designated villain. He is a psychopath for the sake of the main character.
Hye Won is the designated damsel in distress. She is constantly victimized, so her getting together with the hero makes sense.
Thoughts on Episodes 9 and 10: It's not as bad as the previous episodes, but it is still boring and a mess.
As always, Choi Hee Jin only appeared briefly. It's probably best to just find scene packs of her and read the comments here for the context of the episode. A lot of users here are good at explaining.
I still feel like it would have made more sense if Hee Joo is the one that Tae Oh asked for help. She has better resources, and if it's a family business, she should be given more preference in the management. But on the other hand, it's probably a blessing too because I don't like Tae Oh for Hee Joo. Hee Joo deserves better.
I really liked the hacker in the latest episodes too. However, I don't understand why he is risking everything for Tae Oh. If he's that good, he should just go off on his own.
On the same note, Tae Oh's triumphs in the episodes do not make sense to me. Suddenly, he is overwhelmingly controlling everyone against In Ha. The plot made everything convenient for him.
Hye Won is still useless to the developments too. Don't know why they keep showing scenes of her being tortured when there's nothing at stake at all. She just immediately contacts Tae Oh and openly defies In Ha.
A lot of montages here were so hilarious. That scene where it panned to both Tae Oh and In Ha to indicate a showdown was lacking impact. Both of these characters are not that cunning anyway. The writing failed to show that. Plus the scenes of the FL being thrown in a mental ward was so cringe to watch.
I skimmed through 2 eps of this week. Maybe this show should have been a parody, so ridiculous lolThe plot is…
So that's what happened. I was so confused about what they have planned. I agree with your points. I don't know why they had to do that in such a roundabout way.
Also, Tae Oh seems to be bestowed with plot armor to make him look intelligent and the best schemer.
Can't stand this hoe. Now that writer is victimizing her
What was that montage of her looking like a dead robot in a hospital bed? It was so funny, especially when they make her constantly cry on just one eye. I don't even know what she is trying to convey there.
Did the directors really feel that was a great scene to add?
Unfortunately, the odds are even more against her because the drama is a high-value production and several fans of either the male leads waited for this show. The expectations were set too high.
But according to the director's interview, I think he just wanted to include her.
And since In Ha went psycho, they don't have to feel guilty anymore.
But then again, it is the director's fault for picking her. She doesn't suit this genre. Her team should only have her pick lighthearted shows where being good-looking is enough.

All I saw was Tae Oh trying to recall the murder incident, Tae Oh scheming with Hye Won, and Tae Oh getting freed.
It's so underwhelming. I'm just not convinced that Tae Oh's smarts pulled it off and everyone is willing to side with him.
Why do the other characters side with him again?
