im just going to start skipping the future scenes at this point. it feels like theyre trying to add melodrama and suspense when all i want to do is enjoy a lighthearted slice of life rom com. they have such a great thing going, if they start killing off characters or giving them amnesia im literally done

Well it seems genuine when she said that she didn't know it would turn like that during the finals. She apologized…
yeah thats why im letting it go so i can enjoy the show, but i cant pretend like she wasnt a horrible person for half the duration of the drama. she only apologized because they were internet friends, so she wouldve kept being cruel if they werent. it makes it hard to forgive her

am i the only one thats finding yurims redemption arc to be weak?? like shes a horrible person for half the drama but suddenly now that she realizes they were internet friends she cries and its okay? what about how she belittled heedo, made the nation hate her, ignored her, etc?? im supposed to pretend that just didnt happen for the sake of their blossoming friendship? their scenes are cute dont get me wrong, but im going to need more than that

so yurim only regrets being cruel to heedo after she finds out that heedo was her online friend? like having the whole nation hate heedo bc of her didnt do it, but the injeolmi thing did ?

Yurim around ji woong is the real one actually according to me.
yeah i agree. i guess i just find her bad side to be a lot more prevalent so it effects my opinion of her a lot more than watching her care about her mom or flirt with jiwoong

we havent actually seen her talk to many people. she is mostly with her family and her only friends are yijin and jiwoong who is obsessed with her. she is nice to them but she mostly plays the victim around them. we dont actually know what shes like around people that don’t constantly flatter her. online she gets ti rant and share feelings so of course she isnt mean. my point is more, when faced with something she doesnt like her immediate reaction is to play the victim or belittle others

i suppose rather than not real, i mean not authentic. for her to act like shes a good innocent person when she has been so cruel to someone. id say the bad side of someone is more important because that’s what your capable of. shes nice when shes with ji woong, but because we have seen how she treats heedo we know what she is capable of. if ji woong did something she didnt like, or if it turned out he was rich, her inferiority complex would pop up and im sure she would treat him poorly too. she treats her family well because they are her family.

anyone can pretend to be nice. how someone is when they’re mad, when theyve lost, thats real. yurim has been showing us her true face since day 1, since she started belittling heedo thinking she would amount to nothing and would never see her again. how yurim acts when no one is looking and no one can see her being mean, thats her true face

i dont get woongs obsession with yurim he literally doesnt know her at all. he even sees her being childish and mean to heedo and still everyone acts like shes a god. and i hate how unbelievably fake she becomes around him. we all know she sucks but when he comes in and flirts with her suddenly shes this innocent do no wrong poor athlete girl. if they keep setting up yurim to be the bad guy i might have to drop the drama, im getting so angry every episode i just cant sit through it lol

Title Twenty Five Twenty One Spoiler
I’m sorry but yurim is a loser! Like it’s not even heedo’s fault that she lost even her being well off doesn’t…
exactly what im saying. heedos mom is rich sure, but heedo has no one on her side. no one was screaming her name during the match, no one picked her up and consoled her. whether yurim won or lost, everyone was on her side.

i hated yurim before, but wow. i just cant sympathize with her at all anymore. sure shes poor, but she has everyone backing her. heedo has no one that can scream her name openly and cheer for her like they all do for yurim. whether yurim lost or won, everyone supports her. i wish they gave yurim some positive qualities because how am i supposed to warm up to her after all this? especially watching her flirt and play the victim as if she didnt ruin heedos chance

HD lacks confidence but never really sucked at fencing. HD is actually good but lacks any motivation to do so…
not just 3 year.. we see heedos daughters timeline as well ( aka the present)

this has 16 episodes so i def think there was enough time to stretch the fencing journey a bit more. i think they r rushing it to leave space for the present timeline which, imo, isnt nearly as interesting as the past timeline. i think it wouldve been better to focus on heedo, the friendships, and the (?) romance instead of including the present and taking away valuable screentime

They did show all of that, right? The training, pushing herself like crazy etc. She was a fencing prodigy who…
i feel like they more told is than showed us. like we saw her training but she was never actually bad, she even beat yurim immediately. i just wish we couldve SEEN her fail- aka the rut

Yurim's character is extremely immature. It represents how one might act with an inferiority complex but I would…
even tho i wish we had more scenes of her softening up, i know they r building her up as this cruel so she can really break down later and reevaluate everything. im trying to be understanding but honestly she has just been so horrible to heedo since she first laid eyes on her and shes only been nice to ONE cute guy that flirts with her. she doesnt have any friends not because shes never in school, but because shes an absolute pos lol. some scenes of her and her mom laughing wasnt enough for me to develop hope for her character

I was little bit confused when hee do introduced yi-jin with his bf. But yi-jin reaction was boom. So mature,…
it makes me feel like id be okay with them just being close friends that do harbor some sort of unsaid love for each other. that exists irl and is never depicted in dramas in such a tender way as 2521 has so far

is it just me or was the build up from heedo sucking at fencing to competing for a gold medial just.. non existent? like in the beginning we are told by her mom that heedo sucks so bad she should quit and that shes in a rut, but any time we see her fence shes winning?? we never even saw her fence badly LOL. if she wins the gold medal ill be excited but it wont have the effect it wouldve had if they showed her actually being bad and then being so optimistic and motivated by her old school shutting fencing down that she takes the steps to transfer and finally pushes herself to get better to the point where she competes against her idol.

am i the only one wishing the present timeline was omitted? i usually dont care for sports dramas at all but the writers have done such a good job at making the story entertaining and heartwarming. recent dramas have had me skipping thru scenes but with this one i wish more time was spent in the 90s and less time spent on heedos kid because honestly? whats the point? i dont care about her and ballet, they couldve shoved that into the last episode. give us heedo and yijin there has not been a single good slice of life romcom like this in the past few years just PLS let us have it
