ep 26 - Does the emperor really think that his niece and sister truly care about him? I thought that he was wise and could see through them.

By the way, the awful aunt and cousin are not blood relatives of ML. Minus two creepy family members (horrendous mother and brother are left though).

If you don't like the ML, don't torture yourself to watch this show. ;)

I like his acting, but also the story and the FL... so for me it's a very enjoyable series.

She seems to be narrow-minded and petty.

Zhang Wan Yi and Jing Tian is a great pairing and they are playing excellent. 😊

I enjoyed this series very much, but I like Si Jin even better for this reason. There are also multiple sub-plots, actions scenes, adventures.. but also true romance from the early episodes. :)

I think that he is more talented in doing all these physical stuff than usually actors are. And he doesn't need voice dubbing in costume dramas either (which is quite rare). An outstanding talent, really. :)

Does anyone know how to rate the episodes? I've tried but it didn't seem to be taken into account.

I saw that scene... and this is the first time I realized how difficult it had to be physically to play this role. We watch the result while sitting comfortably in a room and chat about the show, but he had to swim underwater in heavy costumes and wing, riding a horse many times, learn the fight scenes, shoot arrows and manipulate a sword, etc... while making us believe that all this is natural and easy.. It's truly admirable!

These historical dramas require really to be multi-talented. Congrats to Zhang Wanyi, he is amazing!

Readers of the novel down rated the show because it's a very loose adaptation of the original work.

Ep 25 - It's heartwarming to see how the emperor cares for Yu Qi. He loves him the most. This is the first time I see such a kind father in a C-drama. (the father of Jiang Si is kind-hearted too, but the emperor is outstanding).

I don't know if it's the case, but maybe the mother is narrow-minded, superstitious and petty, while the emperor seems to be wise, generous and kind-hearted.

The mother could hate her son because he reminds her constantly her mistake.
