It does unfortunately. And the ML's characterization has a lot of red flags - so the writer is inadvertently sending a bad message for younger people. This was something that may have slid over with the audience during Boys Over Flowers - era (Goo Joon Pyo's character). Present day, I think viewers are quick to call it out.

Me too, Misaki, me too.. I'd rather it have ended when Yeon is dead and Rang is alive. Yeon's sacrifice could have led all the other characters' happiness. Even Jiah may have eventually moved on (or not but nonetheless found her own happiness with her parents and friends).
Why did they bring Yeon back and kill Rang in the process? I felt nothing when watching Jiah get married to Yeon; I ended up skipping their scenes cause I was still broken over Rang's death.
The only saving grace was that Rang reincarnated into a boy with a loving mother. But it's still heartbreaking because that Rang is not the Rang we know.
I don't think this "twist" to his name was intended since "letter" is "pyeonji" and not "pyeongji".
I agree. Maybe the hanja behind his name 'ji pyeong' have meaning, but letter = Pyeon Ji. NOT pyeong-ji... that makes no sense at all in korean lol
