I agree, like everyone is mad with her hair styling when she was dressed so prettily as Princess Fukang in Serenade of Peaceful Joy. The gave other side characters prettier styling when ZY is a princess as well. I saw the previews etc and I’m glad to see they changed her styling later. Like please, they didn’t even try with her messy bang now. But in ep9-10, her styling in mint green disciple uniform looked quite good during hiding in SY’s robe scene. RM is a cute girl tho, I hate to see her being ridiculed because of her looks.

So you watched Destinied where the ML is way more bratty, spoiled like hell even a-hole as well and you think it’s enjoyable?😂 You have no problem with him? oh wow haha even as a married man, he acted so reckless but of course there’s character development. same as FL here, in fact she’s not even half of Destinied ML’s bratty character. FL here didn’t even cause big trouble, which is better than other FL I had seen in cdrama. Even on Brink where I love FL so much, she acted bratty too with her fellow disciples at first. She cause minor trouble here and there but still, they’re not beyond tolerable childish. If you think her being sucked into power of chaos was causing trouble to ML, she’s trying to help Qing Gang because she’s kind like she’s always saving Bai Xueying’s life, even Bai Xue Lu. She expressed her gratitude to SY, even bowing to him when she wanted to say goodbye yet he wanted to hold her there to save her of course. She dididn’t know that and he always left her to misunderstand his intention without explaining anything. It needs he self awareness to understand his intention. She tried to understand him even when she heard him saying bad stuffs about her. SY here also pranked her many times, so as CM but you won’t blame them of course. They left her misunderstanding stuffs yet it’s always her fault right? Because SY can never be at fault. Talking about being childish, even CM who is 200yrs old is way childish than her and no one says anything because he’s funny right and he deserves to kill her because her life is not as important as SY? Because SY is Xiao Zhan, of course.

I recently heard it on Back From The Brink and I hear it again now😌 It’s even more high pitched here and when I heard Ren Min’s reciting her lines using her own voice in BTS I just went pissed. Why don’t they used the real one instead??? Her standard mandarin is fine, her previous costume drama was a palace drama and she did good with her own voice

She was well known for her role in Serenade of Peaceful Joy, it’s also a costume drama and she used her real voice there. Her original voice is so soft, I really like it. In BTS of TLP, you can hear her voice. idk why they used dubbing for her role, what a waste.

refreshing? I found the plot quite similar to New Life Begins with Bai Jingting as ML as well and it’s 2023 drama too, not that ‘refreshing’. I dropped at ep3

true, I like that he’s truly giving her fundamental of education she really needs and her willingness to truly learn. She’s not stubborn all the way like some FLs that I had watched, lazy and not willing to learn. ZY is naturally smart but she’s lacking in fundamental of theories and SY can recongnize her shortcomings. He didn’t just lock her there for a month and ignore her while being cold. It’s truly master-disciple relationship, aside from budding romance of course. I can see their changes from just mere acquintances who always disagree with each other into master-disciple relationship with mutual respect as the beginning.
