Ren min really shined in today’s episode 6. I see a lot of comments knocking her looks but I find her appearance…
I found her so pretty when she cried too. Her face was all red especially her watery eyes. Another pretty crier imo

Yups, made no sense. Mega plot hole.
idk if you missed out the part where the Emperor pointed the sword at her son and her first, he planned to kill his own son. She’s a mother too desperately wanted to save her child aside from being an empress. Not everything has to fit for your ideal of how an empress should behave, she’s a human too, a mother who can be out of control and emotional when someone wanted to kill her child.

I've seen some scenes of her in other dramas and I think she's amazing in crying scenes, I want to see a movie…
yup Reba did so well for TBW. It’s my first time watching Ren Jialun as ML and I like him as well there. He’s quite red flag tho but I understand his POV. The misunderstanding between them was frustrating to watch. The CGI was indeed beautiful, I like their spell formation CGI a lot. idk why TBW is not on any int streaming site like wetv. The quality was lacking on youtube.

Title The Longest Promise Spoiler
This makes me think if the concubine didn't see Zhu yan. Maybe Shi Ying wouldn't get into being framed by her.…
they’re just really tied to each other from the start.
We can see the attachment and why they’re connected to yin & yang. But I don’t believe about her being his calamity. Spoiler alert I know she will stab him to his death( probably will be a twist idk) but she will also resurrect him back.

yup! I watched the drama for Reba and I ended up liking other people in drama as well. Shunde Fairy is just…gorgeous! Evil one but I can’t ignore her beauty at all. I love the drama even tho the ending felt disappointing

Yups, made no sense. Mega plot hole.
then the settings of this drama will be palace drama instead of xianxia😆
it’s a serious offense to kill a royal bloodline as I said earlier. If it’s just the concubine, SY still can be saved even tho the Emperor obviously looked like he will kill him because he’s too blinded with his love for the concubine. But anyway, if you watched many palace drama you will understand how the whole thing is a serious treason offense. idk maybe the empress managed to escape for a while and brought her son to plan a fake death with the fire? they somehow did it. That part is a bit messy but I understand the seriousness of that situation.

She had a movie as a victim of bullying and the movie was quite popular. Cry Me A Sad River, she got some recognition for the movie.

I think with or without her, the merfolk already planned it to happen. They’re just waiting for a chance to frame SY. Unfortunately they used ZY’s incident to launch their evil plan. I doubt the concubine really died considering they used death illusions a few times in this drama. Her death looked so fake lol
On The Longest Promise Jul 3, 2023
I think some people failed to see why Zhu Yan is so attached to Prince Shi Ying. She thought he died because of her. He defended her when she offended the concubine. She knows he’s being framed. It’s just 5years ago so of course the guilt is still eating her inside. Well, if it’s me I will never forget it too if I thought someone died because of me, I will probably remember my whole life. It will be immoral of her to forget it easily even if it’s not her fault, she didn’t know that.

Yups, made no sense. Mega plot hole.
It’s an act of treason when the empress pointed the sword to the Emperor and many people saw that as they rushed into the room. No matter how high position is the Empress, treason is a serious offense, hence the rush decision from the Empress. She knows SY will be imprisoned anyway for killing the bloodline of royal blood, no matter how lowly is the merfolk concubine. It worked like that in the palace setting.

I don't know who you referred to as stupid girls. The fl or all the female characters. But if you are talking…
I agree, some people calling ber dumb for caring about a kid she met once. Like seriously? did they even understand the show or watch it? Zhu Yan thought she caused his death because she offended the concubine. She knew he’s being framed. It’s just 5 years so of course the guilt is still eating her inside. I won’t even forget this all my life if I thought someone died because of me.

I think so too. That calamity he claims to be might actually be SY's blessing of love. He might have lied so that…
exactly that’s what I thought too, it’s his future destiny instead of calamity imo. Like how on earth someone praying for someone else becomes a calamity? The master wants to use him for his personal vandetta.

dont hate the actress just dont like the character she portrayingher obsessive nature to resurrect a kid hahaher…
she thought he died because of her offending the concubine. She felt responsible for his death, hence the guilt.
She ran away after faking her death, which is quite a clever tactic for her freedom while still protecting her clan. They will all thought she died. Yall complain about everything. If the FL is weakling just surrendering to her fate, you will still complain anyway.

I feel bad for her. The wig is an atrocity and too cheap for S+ drama. Bangs in general should be banned in c-drama.…

The master Da Mingsi is definitely shady, he can’t be good, probably grey or evil. I bet he’s lying as well about Zhu Yan being Shi Ying’s calamity lol

Actresses like Ren Min should follow the career path of Zhang Zifeng and stay as far away as they can from this…
I agree, she didn’t deserve all this hate from rabid stans smh
I also watched her on Cry Me A Sad River & Serenade of Peaceful Joy. She should stay picking those kind of works.

like soo truee he look way too better without those bangs😭
from the preview it’s obvious they’re keeping the mature styling for her in the second half of the show. Aren’t you familiar with how cdrama changed styling from first half to second half to showcase characte development into maturing? She’s 15 at this time. They will give her fringeless hairstyle later on.

you don’t know the important award shows in China that actually have more merit than those broom award you’re mentioning and it shows. Magnolia Award has much more merit with actual experts judges.

Why do I get the feeling that fans of other actresses are jealous of Ren Min so much here?
exactly what I thought. She’s doing such a good job especially on ep5-6 tonight and I’m very sure she will keep getting better because she’s known for having skill in acting anyway.
