Title The Double Spoiler
Though JL's fake dad wasn't without fault i was really impressed with his character development. He really did realize his full potential as a father.

Yes! The actor did his character justice at that moment. It was like a realization - it was pretty touching to see in some odd way. But WN created this creature and now she gets to keep him.

It’s sick of him to think that way when at the point he said that he probably still thoroughly believed WN was the key player and winner above everyone. So technically, what he described realistically could happen.

Ep 33 question....
having watched 33 twice - I don't understand the motive of the Ex husband wanting to marry her again? He's out of jail, she's in jail - why did he go through the whole proposal thing?

Title The Double Spoiler
bc she framed JL in the past, she thinks JL will obviously seek revenge. thus she wants to get rid of JL now.
True! For some reason I thought the “her” as the little child at the top of the stairs holding the flowers didn’t totally understand what the heck happened. That she saw the step mom at the base bleeding and she got punished. I don’t think I totally comprehended that the whole set up was obvious to her as a little kiddo

Title The Double Spoiler
Let's step back 2 steps - I don't understand the vengeance and hatred the stepmother has for the FL. Dislike, sure. Not her kid, i get it. BUT for her to make it her life goal to get rid of the step daughter now that she's back seems a little excessive. From the second she returned home the step mother was determined to destroy when in reality there was nothing the FL had done yet to warrant the full on hate.

I didn’t see it as a pothole I saw as the grandmother trying to not play favourites and treat everyone equally
If we go with the the GMA being oblivious to the scheming and failed attempt to be smart of the other two- still the FL didn’t do anything wrong. At best, she didn’t Uber back out of the palace and immediately report back to the GMA but that’s even a stretch. If she wanted to be fair, she should have also punished the 3rd for losing composure and thereby embarrassing the family by b slapping a family member and destroying her face. No one was really treated fairly and equally sadly.

I agree with you both; that was very confusing. Seemed like a bit of a plot hole there. She cares so much and…
The plot hole made me wonder f I missed a scene or misunderstood the script so I rewatched that part of make sure I understood what grandma was actually saying. I'm just going to have to go with it because I'm still a bit ??? lol

This part was kind of confusing for me as well. If she cared about JL as much as she is making it out to be, why…
Yes! I have the same confusion. Granted I never read the novel but the drama has been showing that the dad really respects Grandma's opinion. There's no way if she insisted on bringing back a small little girl after a month or year of punishment that the Dad would have refused her. If Grandma is wise enough to see though the charades of the family members, where was she in guiding and punishing the others? In dramas the elders always have a couple of old maids or household staff members who are fiercely loyal to just them. She had more than enough ability to send someone to check on a little girl even if she couldn't do it herself.

Can't grasp why grandma is disciplining the FL. Her dialogue at this part of the drama didn't make sense. The FL didn't have enough time to come home and report things to the grandma. Not only that but even if she did, what the heck would grandma have done?? In 10 years, did grandma give her justice when she was banished from home. Not sure how I felt about that part of the episode.

It's more complicated than that tbh. She has a powerful backing/military power through that backing in the novel.…

The fact that everyone is so afraid of the eldest princess baffles me. All it takes is for the king to be fed up with her one day and she’s a goner.

The actress ain’t very talented, and it’s getting more and more obvious for everyone (don’t know why some…
Both true and false. No one will deny that good singing or acting is commendable. It's actually easier to find someone attractive than one who has raw talent. Like it or not, looks sell. There's an audience for it and it brings in a whole lotta money. The frenzy lies in idols. Most who will sit back and appreciate raw natural talent will follow an artist for their whole career but those who love fall in love with the appearance will fall off the bandwagon once the artist marries or grows old. It's not right or wrong but there's a need for both. The entertainment industry wouldn't have lasted as long as it has if it only stocked shows with folks who could actually act. I dig good acting but I sure as heck don't mind some eye candy either.

ehhmm what do you mean by "FML sister" ? Cheng Xi (FL CY's sister)? no. she has no security cam, uses her phone…
Chen Xiao Yin's character, CX. I don't pretend to understand the horrors of borderline domestic violence. But most people, CX is no dummy, would at least have done something or prepared something to protect herself. She didn't need to move, the Ex doesn't live with her. That part didn't make sense to me when she could have just installed a camera and waited for him to show up and get it all on film.

Let's be honest - if i had the best acting skills and could make the whole room cry when I cried, still no one will want to watch my dramas with my plain Jane face. It's reality, most, want to look at something we deem pretty or beautiful.

Exactly! There is no one more you, than you. Every single person will have a different interpretation. You would be wasting 45 min anyways - 50/50. Enjoy!

It's symbolic. Architecturally speaking it is a beautiful home. Aesthetics, however, is up to interpretation. The house has a lot of elements that are impressive. It is a very modern design and gives a cold vibe. Minimal but stunning. The staging doesn't help and that's the way the drama wants it to be. It shows the straight forward, cold and near emptiness of the ML's life and is a sharp contrast to the warmth and love our the sweet apartment.
