Let’s play a game - raise your hand if you can name one character who has yet to spit up blood?
I must say this dream segment is longer than most dream phases in most drama but I do see how it’s necessary bc it can have an impact on TTJ’s character when they wake up.
I think only seeing the magnitude of the clam’s sacrifice and depth of her pain with all her clammies being wiped out helps the audience understand why MY is taking the longest nap known to gods. TTJ prob being unable yet to feel regret, love, and sadness needs to see it and feel it through MY.
Can I just say I’m proud of our little clam for saying, “ you know what- I’m done with you. I loved, deeply for that matter, and in the end everyone got cooked.” I’m glad she didn’t just give in and accept what MY was dishing.
I don't understand why there are some pp, who decide not to watch a certain drama or movies, yet just have time…
You do have a right to say if it's good or bad. Other people have the right to say if it's good or bad. That's what these pages are for. Equally, people have the right to say this or that about actresses or actors. Isn't that part of watching the drama? Critiquing the drama from our own individual perspectives. And thankfully, all of us have different perspectives.
2 eps in - I'm following the story alright and find it entertaining enough. I struggle a bit with our FML. In all of her dramas, I've found her acting to be a bit stone like. Not to mention my inner orthodontist just wants to help her with her teeth. The misalignment is so distracting to me and I'm cool with being the only one who feels that way. It's like a big juicy pimple I just want to get my hands on lol.
I've long fallen for Cao Chun Ang. He's totally my jam. Often the sidekick in dramas is going to grab the ladder or slowly clawing his way over the wall when the ML flys over with ease. Not this guy - he's just as badass as his godfather. The guy can fight, intelligent, witty, sweet, attentive, and nice visuals. I hope his character makes it till the end.
The whole scene in Bu's residence is so satisfying. intense. I could feel the rage, hatred and grudge in her eyes…
I don't think the blow dealt to her sister was enough. The punishment to her dad's wife was adequate enough but I don't feel like her sister got a bad enough deal.
I have a feeling that the emperor murong gao will turn out to be the villian...i think he is pretending to be…
To make things worse, all that they have whether it be wealth or power all comes from the Emperor. If he wanted he really could take away everything. It's really refreshing to watch the FML get some small bits of revenge against her fam but I can't help but realize that is all possible because of the position/title the Emperor was willing to bestow upon her, his willingness to let a powerful eunuch be her side kick, and him allowing our ML to have power and wealth.
I think their age gap is appropriate and perfect. In real life - I'd be rooting for them to date lol. It's fabulous…
Absolutely, this is the comment section! And warm hugs to you that the drama was so triggering it made you physically ill. I'm just gently pointing out that their actual age is not much different but by appearance she looks young. I'm also just throwing out there that many Chinese drama such as some popular ones like Bu Bu Jing xin and legend of zhen huan amongst so many other may also be triggering as well. They didn't bother me either but perhaps to others it could be offensive.
Although I completed this drama I was very unimpressed. The FL acting was terrible, ok, maybe not her acting but…

A large age gap between an emperor and his wife or concubine is not totally unrealistic. Whether be in drama land or in real life - traditionally, when we're talking about emperors and concubines, there is an age gap between the wives and the emperor. Probably the closer to actual history, the larger, the age gap. If it really makes you nauseous, perhaps these dramas are the ones that you might wish to avoid because unfortunately, you will probably see them over and over again.

I love the female lead's acting. But I can understand what you mean from one aspect- i think the only part of the body movements that stuck out to me was her walking. In some scenes, it looks like she was intentionally walking at a slow speed because her character knew the Emperor was going to be popping by in that scene in the script (the scene where she leaves the concubines party and he shows up to give her the hall pass to come/go as she wishes. Like she was "walking" knowing full well oh hello random emperor I wasn't expecting you.
I'm not sure if it was the court outfit she was wearing, but she almost seemed to walk a little duck like or like a little kid who just learned to walk by scuffling and staring at the ground.
1) Bai Lu broke the seal but they cut the scene that actually showed this so it was confusing. She does have powers…
Awww I loved him being so invincible but I guess regular dude is good in some ways because now he can grow old with BL and not just live on forever while she eventually ages and dies.

I was of the same mindset. I thought in the final episode there would be the big transformation and she would be the deciding factor in the revolt. So, I was a little confused when it didn't seem like she brought on any major change. I think I was expecting too much and thinking she would be throwing icicles or shooting flames...etc
I "watched" till the end but I ff through lots bc I simply wasn't invested in a lot of the side characters or their story but it almost may have caused me to miss some questions- help me out... 1. Did BL ever break through her celestial power seal put on by her dad? It was pitched to me that she didn't have any real powers to protect herself because it was sealed. But I really don't know what her superpower is. And if her superpower would've actually been of any type of use when it comes to saving her life.
2. The emperor said that he and BL's birth stars are complementary or something to that effect. But what does that even mean? Does it mean that she being with him heals him or gives him power? Or simply that they are destined to be man and wife?
3. Is it implied at the end that the emperor still had some powers but that he just doesn't really generate and heal as quickly as he did before? Hence he said I'll be better tomorrow. Or is he basically on the path to be a regular average man who injures, ages, and eventually dies?
What I want to see🥹: Yu Xiuming and Yezi married with a crapton of kids What I get🥲: 0.0005 seconds of Yu…
It's the wedding no one gives a care about, the birth no one cared to cheer for, the death no one wanted to see, the love no one gets to see come to fruition....did I miss something?
Did the side characters donate a kidney to the writer in a past life? It sure feels like the story is working in their favor and the mains are getting the scraps.
