Ep23- I find myself feeling a little angry with our FML... I realize that she's finding out all of these things. But in this episode, I can't help but feel that she is rather blind. Sudden feelings of being annoyed by her. I get her quest to save her friend has carried throughout the drama… It was annoying at times, but I understood the reason why her character wanted to go back in time. But as wise as she is about so many things, there's no way she didn't realize that one thing in the past changing could cause a ripple effect. Also, she is willing to forsake all things to save one person and then is shocked when others are impacted.
I have zero love for our second male lead. None and that is super rare for me. I get the editing has been funny but I just don't feel any vibes about his acting either. Just vanilla. On the flip side, I have never cared less about a second couple. I just don't even care about the eldest eldest princess and the generals love. Please just go away. The couple look pathetic to me. I don't want your love and I don't want to watch it either....waaaaahhhh. After the mains fell off the bridge and BL met Rui lookalike Truth Master - did anyone wonder what they actually look like because she said if they showed themselves it could scare people. I can't help but have every single scary alien monster figures image scroll through my head...:lol

While I don't agree with OP about the FML looking plastic - she is entitled to her opinion. She's not spreading rumors or slandering anyone. People can come to the page and comment about costumes, acting, storyline, and about appearances. It's also an opinion.

I don't think it just his age alone, i'm fine with age gap in fact I love that, but these 2 have no connection…
I don't think love between them is really in their storyline at this point (8eps). Perhaps we know there's supposed to be bc of trailers but I don't think it was supposed to be fireworks and sparks from the get-go from these two. That maybe why you haven't sensed yet. To me this far there's interest on the ML's part but that's it. I could be wrong and these two might never give you those vibes but just maybe it will come later.
Why people complain about Feng Shao Feng being older than the Peng Xiao Ran In this drama they casted the character…
I think both of them fit their role and look the part of their character. Also, it wouldn't make sense if the emperor looked like a 20yr hottie - much like how many dramas portray a young fresh 20year old as their CEO, while it could happen it isn't something often seen. So FSF and BL are perfect and their visuals together are great and doesn't distract - just my opinion.
I can see why you would find her bossy but I adore her. I find her fair and wise. She knows that LiWei is lacking…
I think it would deviate from her character if she wasn't like that to him. In her characters mind, she is smart and wise and prob capable of being a ruler herself. She is the boss B and calls the shots. She is a woman on a mission and has a plan. She's full speed ahead. She rightly justifies her actions and calls the shots, only she's not doing it in the form of yelling and screaming.
Am I the only one who felt New wife is too much bossy ! Like I get it she has to train Li Wei to make her so called…
I can see why you would find her bossy but I adore her. I find her fair and wise. She knows that LiWei is lacking but is committed to helping her become an appropriate wife. Meanwhile, 6th is so doting on his wife that he probably would be the least likely person to "train" her. Someone has to do the job and it isn't always easy being the "bad" guy. If you watched the original Scarlet Heart - 8th prince's mansion was a well-oiled machine and they always presented themselves properly. Having a mansion that's in disarray or family members who don't know how to behave hurts 6th now and his prospects.
Can sb explained to me …why did the ML married the FL? …because I did not get it.
He knew that he was probably going to be stuck with her anyways based on his lack of favoritism by his parents so he just went ahead and asked to marry her. Also, had he asked for the hand of another princess from a strong military or rich area it could have raised suspicions about his career intentions. He wants to lay low and win the crown on his own merit, not by borrowing the strength or wealth of his wives or concubines. By choosing this FML he flys under the radar bc she's harmless. Even his dad does not think that she's suitable for him and therefore assigned her the position of concubine versus official wife.
Ep 22 - I don’t quite understand the significance of the jade bracelet the main wife was wearing. Why did our female lead need to call it out… I missed that part
XR is our typical evil without a cause female drama character. Her whole existence in the drama is that she hates her sister because everyone loves her sister and worships her sister and in her mind nobody looks at her understands her, or sees her worth.
It’s almost frustrating watching these characters, not because we don’t need a bad guy to make the drama flow, but because of how unreasonable they are. At no point in the drama did XR do anything that is worthy of respect and praise - both before and after marriage.
She envied her sisters status in the family but at no point in time did we see her hopping on a boat to charter in new territories, helping with the books, or building new ports. Nothing was stopping her from doing something. She chose not to but yet just cried about not being respected. These types of characters are the most frustrating for me as a viewer.
Haha! When he wanted to run to her then realized his boss was drugged. 😅 I first thought his feelings for XR…
Right!?! Lol. The other sidekick (the muscle) was down on the ground trying to help and CJ was just kinda hovering not sure if he should save XR from being dragged off or help his boss. It was really awkward🤣
