Comical n Humorous, the plot is very different from typical samurai movies,it's more about the characters n their journey than the result n i agree with the review it's a hidden gem.

Never expected to get this much bored watching Mukai Kosuke's movie.

I loved the ISOYG 2010 few years back.Really disturbing n gory.

Sweetie thats presumptuous of u to think "Indians hate anything Indian" n disrespect our culture just from my views on Babas,i respect my culture n believe in God where i don't need a mediator.

As u can see that I wrote "in my opinion " clearly n u said it urself that it's upto interpretation of the viewer n u can clearly see what the movie trying to convey it's just u failed to understand n got off the topic.Maybe u had bad experience with ur Indian fellows so u r venting here that's fine but do it separately bcz I don't know what u r talking abt n how is it related to my comment as i dnt care.

I don't mind the huge age gap as the old man was caring,nice n talented even if he was selfish he never raped her,maybe that disgusting end scene was a sort of justification by the director?

There are many movies like this where a lone n crazy guy kidnaps a girl ,i remember watching a Tamil movie as a kid where a guy kidnaps a girl without her Knowing as she thinks she got lost in the forest then later she finds out he had never even buried or cremated her mom as her body just dried up sitting on the chair.So the theme of this movie isn't new n artsy.

Seeing a full fledged Psychological+Romance drama after a long time ,hope it's much better than the short series with worn out plot n no emotions they are producing these days.
I have faith in Ayako Kato.

the movie is about superstition if I have to pick one theme n husband doesn't seem to be possessed n he is only acting to be possessed in the end.

There's a comment on superstition but in my opinion these fake Shamas n Babas use the weakness of innocent minds for money or to grow their cults etc n when life hits u really hard u can't think of anything n believe them bcz they are really good at playing with minds ,i have seen that how deeply they can understand people's psychology n fool them n MC faced the same situation.
In India there are various English speaking Babas n Sadhvis who fool even educated class by speaking English where few themselves have criminal records, people are depressed so they blindly follow them n hate others who speak the truth about these cults.

Making a movie like this is difficult when u have to cover various themes,i have seen multi-genre films fail n this is one of them.

The movie is a kind of social commentary but i would have liked if that had been the main focus of the plot n i clearly not appreciate how the writer made me feel like MC is crazy where she is clearly not.

The direction was ambiguous from the beginning n based on ur interpretation but

If u observe the pattern n compare ,there were no such thing as censorship,old dramas tend to be more melodramatic n intense,they would go all out ,there was also lack of awareness among audience n they were more emotional than today n love used to be most important thing so u will see more open n forbidden love dramas n mangas with happy end ,even few incest mangas have HE but they have to consider these points today n follow the path of morality n even the mindset of GenZ.

To my disappointment Ango's suicide was very unreasonable , director maybe wanted it to be dramatic ,I would have liked it if he dint commit suicide n died in an accident or naturally. He had a good life ,His mom never abused him,She loved him alot n that humiliation was nothing before all these.I imagined him to be a strong character from the beginning.This is the biggest turnoff about this movie.

I always like hana but her acting while being strangled n stabbed were unrealistic , nobody reacts this fast.

There are so many Japanese movies n dramas based on same theme of trauma n healing but this was still good.

I confused Jun with Fujiwara kisetsu at first glance.
POV : Hio had a small role but he was still the best ,his acting got better.

Like if ML had hid the body there's no need to murder someone else n reveal everything.

Confession would have made things easier n better.

There were no marks of being hit on FL's face at all.She was brutally hit by ex husband.

Elevator scene where everyone else is laughing for no reason expect the main characters isn't a big deal enough to be mentioned.I never come out of movie theater laughing like that even if it's a comedy film.

Why dint the ML come to help her when she was being abused n wait for her to kill him,did he make the plan beforehand while she was being abused?he dint so we don't know why he waited ,he is a geek n stalker but he wasn't a psychopath.His character was so inconsistent.

Why did that homeless guy ran away from the police?

Why did he threaten the new guy when he wants them to be happy together?I think he moved on ryt n he burned that paper n everything given to him by FL.
Apart from these the FL was as annoying as ML.

The police friend was also very dramatic for no reason .

Has anyone watched Drishyam?I think few things in Drishyam was inspired by this movie but the former was better entertainment, screenplay wise n was a better thriller than this one .

The theme of this movie was good but there were way too many plot holes n inconsistencies n many things happening without reason.I dint like it.
