Those days when love used to be more important than anything else. That's why i loved Hiro's strong character.
This movie is nostalgic, bittersweet n realistic but very pretty.It felt like I was watching a tape or documentary the acting was natural n few scenes were really funny n cute .
Hiro chan's lucky to have a talk with mature adult n set things straight without them getting very ugly.

Oh i thought it was threesome from the poster then i saw the country.

I was an adventurous multi genre film about moral dilemma,jealousy,humanity,bit of life lesson n drama, suspense combined with good investigation not the best one but good enough for 1963.

I particularly liked the part of Gondo's moral ambiguity.

What i found unrealistic were The Kid was too smart ;Garbage man knew too much information about a guy who just came to throw the trash for burning;Police were too nice, caring n way too involved like a family to take care of victim; General Public so nice to discard a Brand for one person;Media was way too cooperative to avoid gossip n did exactly what police said n there was no leak of info. at all which was the most unrealistic among all.
Overall an ok but yes an engaging movie.

Ya it's definitely weird in reality.But in fiction forbidden love is always right.
If u want a really good incest u can try the novel Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma. It's brilliant,u will like it since it has depth n u like romance.

Alright the woman is seducing the guys, guys start to think of her as mother not some sexual object despite her seduction and she seems to be consider them as kid until she puts on a ring when she gets a new boy toy, it's not even a sexual rship let alone romantic one.Why does she have to seduce them bcz it doesn't seem to go in that direction.
The lady is a serial killer as implied by few scenes. But again maybe she only kills the defying ones. But there are few plot holes that can't be ignored.

Unlike other psychological thriller this was slow and quite subtle yet interesting.Scamming the scammer concept in movies is nothing new but the tone of the movie is what makes it different. The acting was never loud , plot was twisted and so much was left for interpretation.
I am happy that Japan still makes movies like this but i am really worried about the declining population in Japan i mean what will i watch then? It's not even funny.

Tragic yet beautiful. Humanistic n Emotional like Ikiru but also twisted n fun to watch. This is now one of my favourite anthology movies.
I don't know why old movies showed the women in such light even the victim's character turned mean n naive but it's understandable the society at that time was much more patriarchal than now.

Each of the characters were interesting n detailed u will catch the nature of their character in such short time.i loved how the boy had set route for his tram and so much space to run it. The sceneries of Slum were simply pretty, it reminded me of Himizu.

Wise n patient old men are rare to see in reality, i liked his character until when the boy got sick, he is a busybody, doesn't fear anything n could have helped the boy but dint. Maybe he doesn't help unless asked but again why would a madman understand if someone is sick n ask for help? I found his character morally grey.

I won't say it was some kind of message n i liked the movie with minimal makeup on actors n natural, realistic setting n plot wasn't exaggerated. The MC is completely crazy n ML is a complete Narcissist n Selfish prick but he isn't a worst guy in my opinion, he is a common jerk that we see in our society in everyday life n the story wasn't dark at all.

P. S. I think the girl went back n returned the child, while it was impossible for her to jump out of that speedy car with both of them completely intact without breaking anything, that scene was exaggerated n unrealistic along with how he just ran away without looking back when he was so obsessed with the child.
Overall a nice ,one time watch movie.

Netflix sure have rare jmovies haha, watched it only bcz it was on Netflix ,hope they add better movies.Seriously, hundreds of amazing Jmovies n u add this?That's why people form the opinion such as Jmovies n the actors r bad.
This movie was so stupid.

Besides robotic n emotionless acting n no chemistry between the couple this movie was actually good bcz of plot about an independent n practical woman who wants to live a comfortable life. It's a philosophical movie more than romance. Unsatisfactory ending but watchable.

I won't say it's an important movie but it must have been at the time of its release when not much people knew about it in detail. Now everyone knows very well about World Wars n even Japan has no complaints against America as they understand that it was Japan who started it, Japan only wants peace.
This movie may piss anti Japanese person bcz it only shows Japan as victim n even if it's once , they read the text from book in the movie that it was bcz of Racism where what USA did had nothing to do with race at all. What i feel unfair is country like Germany got away way too easily.
Even the countries who colonized others should compensate or atleast ask for forgiveness.

Movie is realistic, where it's more focused on Children like Children of Hiroshima. No matter what , what America did was very wrong bcz civilians suffered a lot not just military,no idea how long this Russia n Ukraine war is going to last. Whether it's to teach a lesson, War or Bomb Testing .The reasons don't matter, there are things one shouldn't do in wars no matter what even Japan used Chinese,Korean n even Japanese women as comfort woman n experimented on even women n babies. That era was really brutal.I hope no country uses nuclear bomb in the future , ever.
