Pretty interesting, easy n engaging movie. I liked how all the characters are interconnected. Loved The Pharmacist n The Student the most. The Pharmacist is mind bending n the coolest story. The co-worker of that pharmacist is not some random woman she is very much linked to the main girl. Even if someone wants to watch a story thats not so scary but also interesting, this is it,acting was good n there were not many plotholes.
Although i understand that third story was about survival,never trusting the strangers n listening to parents n the list goes on, i really don't get the overall story. So,some creatures attacked but maybe those three perverted creeps were taking the advantage instead of saving the kids n police were also involved in those crimes like killing n kidnapping children.That guy with white shoes have been keeping an eye on those kids if they were alone from the bathroom window but they are definitely not nice guys who also have some remarkable n magical formula to resurrect the dead which served no purpose.Does someone have interpretation?Even if u looked into it on Google plz share. It was a good n suspenseful but there's so much left for interpretation.
I liked the friendship in this drama. They cared enough but respected the boundaries of each other. This was a Mild Melodrama n light Slice of Life that won't drain you out n the chemistry is good between both main n side characters though i wish there was more Romance bcz it's my first romance drama after a long time. The background music was good that hooked me throughout the drama. It did get draggy like other 16 ep kdramas which i avoid n Romance kind of faded away in second half it's still a good n mature ride considering that screenwriters n directors aren't very experienced. Overall an engaging n decent watch. I liked the actor who played Kim Ye Won's bratty young boyfriend,he has potential.
This was a Political n Thought Provoking movie on Japanese racism n authoritarianism. The movie started off as a documentary was staged so beautifully, it was like a theatre play which doesn't focus on just one character but covered many issues. The other half also threw some light on the criminal's Psychology but in the end i don't completely agree with the director's stand on capital punishment, he tried so hard to blame the rapist's crime on Japanese imperialism n his bringing up in such harsh environment. Plus the reason behind his crime being his sister wasn't a good idea either, that seemed irrelevant n contradictory to the theme of this movie. In the end, no matter what it was a unique movie. One shouldn't miss this.

His daughter finds out everything in the end bcz his father dint delete the account n she confirms it n it seems like he still wants to "help" the people maybe bcz he wants money.But u can hear the sirens i guess the police will arrest him.
It's a multiple genre film with many sub plots like murder,crime, manipulation,psychology of killer who seems like a wuss, poverty, social and moral issues,family etc. Rather than a serial killing thriller it turned into a stupid drama by the end . Even Sato Jiro n Takada Ryo couldn't save this film. This was a perfect example of Wasted Potential.Love the plot but messy writing ,bad n rushed execution n meaningless events which contributed nothing to movie completely ruined it.
Second half was repetitive but the movie was an engaging n entertaining thriller overall. It's sad to know that it's based on true story, i don't know how much authentic the story is but it's unbelievable how things turned out.

Tried 5-6 movies from the director,Beijing Watermelon was ok but all of his movies were mediocre n meaningless ,not sure if I'm going to watch his movies again.
The MC started loving her brother in law when he confessed but she is more concerned about her in laws n society n her love isn't big enough to sway her morality but she did led him on a little then backed off which drove ML even crazier. ML commited suicide in the end after drinking n being depressed.
As an old movie i was expecting more from this. Story about a sacrificing woman with high moral values or say how the society thinks "women should be" The movie is not completely romance or unrequited love story it was more of a family drama. There's no melodrama n i dint care much about the ending.
It's always innocent citizens who suffer the most in war. The fear of MC is completely reasonable in the beginning,he loves his family n doesn't ignore his mistress either, he is a person with strong sense of responsibility. Given how Japan suffered the two nuclear attacks in 1945 ,even today we can see how people are suffering in Ukraine n Russia n as a result the whole world is suffering economically, i won't call him paranoid but as his mental n physical condition deteriorates in the end his fear turned completely unnecessary. I liked the movie n acting.
(Geez everything's written on synopsis , please don't read it before u watch the movie. Although it's not a mystery thriller serial killing movie the synopsis gives away the whole plot)

Like other humanistic Japanese movie, this movie also provides the reason n perspective from the person who is supposed to be a bad guy .However,we must keep in mind that the plot is not in anyway tries to justify the wrong doings no matter how strong the reasons are.
The only sports plus romance movie of Kitano Takeshi. This isnt a complete romance or a sports movie ,Covered some social issues like handicapped participation in sports with normal people. Also had some humanistic aspect, as the shopkeeper/coach got involved with the deaf MC n helping him, nobody made fun of the disabled couple. Dint like the ending. Overall an ok movie, nice soundtrack.
