No they didn't sign back then, they promised in the fanmeeting that they will work together in costume drama. And finally after a year or so, they got the chance with this script.
I am watching since season 9 because bailu came as guest but i started liking every members but this season is so good in every terms (except 2 episodes when Zheng Kai left). I will really miss this show. Can't believe it is already coming to an end 🥲🥲🥲

I would rather suggest you to buy 1 year subscription after 2-3 months or wait until it gets license. It would be safe + there are still some issues with the app like there is no search bar and many things that I have found on twitter. I would rather suggest to wait for some time being.
