GRR digged a hole for herself by marrying Xizhou and she is digging it deeper and deeper with her attitude towards…
GRR may be digging a hole for herself, but Xizhou gave her the shovel to do it. He knew he didn't love her and he knew GRR did. He used her and he was really just going through the motions of meeting the parents, doing the basics of a husband in front of her parents and simply agreeing that he wouldn't leave her but at the same time, if she wanted an emotional bond with him, he's closed off. She didn't know exactly what she was walking into. But the earlier conversation before ep 24 where she explained what she expected in a marriage (where she isn't wrong) was a big red flag to her that this isn't working out. He's told her that he can't do what she expects of him to pull his weight. I'm now sure how one is suppose to move on from this. Either she accepts it by compromising herself or she just leaves him.
I don't fully blame her for her misery - she actually doesn't really deserve it. She's trying to make it work.
And in immortal samsara too, its funny, from biggest enemy to servant now 😆😝
In Immortal they were best friends/equals turned biggest enemy but I love his version of his attentive assistant to Cheng Yi. It's just hilarious. And he talks a lot which I don't mind. He actually has a nice voice. Sadly dubbed in most of his dramas including in Blood of Youth.
I never expected this to be this good in quality. I'm familiar with FL and she really suits for this character.…
This is the 3rd collaboration between ML and FL but another love story between the leads. Another is Stand by Me which I believe was made around if not just a bit earlier than this drama. They have really good chemistry.
Cheng Yi is one of those rare actors who does well in both costume and modern dramas. I love it when he looks annoyed. And seeing Li Xin Ze as an assistant to Cheng Yi is just whiplash considering his role in L&R.
Thank goodness they are NOT dubbed and seeing at least 3 original cast from Love and Redemption, I'm getting all the good vibes again. This wait is finally over.
So I'm not the only one who thought this was too boring. I struggled after the first few episodes but people said it would get better, so I stayed. I stayed for Gong Jun. Sadly, it never really peaked my interest. I get this is a slow burn revenge but I felt there wasn't much of a plotting to get to the revenge. The big reveal was more like "ah". This type of drama is my cup of tea but sadly, the pace and writing was meh for me. I used it as a background white noise to make it to the end. At times, I had to watch it had faster speeds just to make it through faster. The overuse of the CGI backdrops didn't help. Liu Yu Ning didn't really shine here.
I am a huge fan of YCY. I have liked her since I saw her in Dance of the Phoenix. But I have to agree with some…
I felt the same. But I always felt that YCY can't do deep emotional scenes. I've been willing to endure them as I like this drama. She has done decently in portraying all different characters.
Ryan Ding...I absolutely love ALL of his styling for all his different lives. I prefer this over his past period dramas where he has his hair up in a bun and his makeup had made him look pale/white. This is much better. His acting, just as on point. I've watched the new reality/game show with the same cast and he's just adorably hilarious. Not like in an immature way.
The point is finally proven. Xu Ming was with Cang Hai for over a thousand years and she didn't even love him. And here we see XM doing everything for his one sided love. He once told CK that he wouldn't understand his love for CH. He's right. Why would he understand a one sided love when his love with CH/XY is mutual.
First 2 episodes were well done and cinematography is gorgeous but its kinda going downhill from ep 3 and 4. I…
I hope you stay on. The 2nd tribulation doesn't end till the end of episode 12 so it's rather draggy but it gets better once you pass this part of the drama. I would say after episode 8, it gets much better.
I don't think the brother is the black figure villain. That villain didnt wanted CK to succeed in his tribulations but his brother (as sketchy as he is) wants CK to get his full strength back. It was his idea at first to go through these love tribulations. There is a hidden enemy..
I would really like to see at least one tribulation that Xu Ming isn't it in. At least the good friend charade is over. I'm curious how the other tribulations will go now that CK knows the truth about the toll of the tribulations.
It's interesting you found her awesome in Heroes. I remember its comment section on kisskh being full of…
I didn't like her in Heroes and that was where I was convinced that her acting needs serious improvement. I more so judged that she was the FL of that series but couldn't carry that role at all. Here, I find her far less annoying or I am really just distracted by Ryan Ding and can overlook her flaws here.
I don't fully blame her for her misery - she actually doesn't really deserve it. She's trying to make it work.
