Title Are You Safe
I’m here on a recommendation of a friend and because I want to see the cybercrime element. I’ve seen one of…
Did you watch Under the Skin? That's how I knew of Tan Jian Ci. He was brilliant in that one. It's also a crime drama but not cyber. Been waiting for this one as I couldn't get enough of him.

is there bromance on this? or is it focused on romance?
It's about 4 very close male friends who each go through their own love struggles. Not really bromance but there is a good focus on romance

This drama is the one I'm the most excited for this year. All the trailers and MV each one of them is amazing
The recent new trailers has gotten me all excited. I didn't even know about it until I saw the trailer a couple weeks ago. Looks like it might be an improvement from Blue Whisper.

Being a woman, I can't understand why the women who commented felt offended. What exactly is so shocking? First,…
100% agree. I don't find it offensive to women. A lot of stereotypes about men and women are thrown in with the misunderstandings. Once you get to know each one, you realize you misjudged them.

Title Gentlemen of East 8th Spoiler
ep 12 there was one scene with the boys and four girls (girls were mostly were meeting for the first time) and…
It usually starts with a general dislike with one another and then the jabs started building. Re-watching that scene- it sorta started with Xu Do and the professor's colleague exchanging friendly jabs. Possibly due to some sort of jealousy over Guo Chong as he knows them both. Then of course Xu Do's friend has to side with her so the jabs started flying. I laughed at the jabs about wrinkles/old skin/aging...a big no no comparison among the ladies while the men sit there in awkwardness wondering how to interject or should they interject to steer the conversation away.

I'm on episode 6 so far. This isn't actually bad (I'm a woman). It's a nice filler drama that isn't stupid or silly. There are enough humorous moments to make you chuckle. As for the treatment of women- let's remember this is told from the perspective of middle-aged men - each having their own insecurities about love. Not saying their view is right but at the same time, I felt it's about them exploring their faults and working to better themselves. There are successful portrayals of women - the super rich real estate businesswoman and Xu Do who is smart, confident and beautiful- not at all an idiot. Best of all, she isn't intimidated by men. I do struggle to see how the storyline can last 40 episodes- there is going to be a lot of misunderstandings and whatnot to get us through. For now, it has been entertaining.

I love the fact that although there was drama within the palace it never got to the point of them wanting to kill…
I was also shocked at the 3rd prince during episode 49 where he went to find CSS to save LBY. Then it all came out how they were close together but appeared to others as distant. I had to re-evaluate the scenes with the 3rd prince. He at first gave off the vibe that he wanted to be CP by evil means but really, he wanted the CP because he was more capable than his elder brother. It is certainly refreshing not to see a palace storyline that doesn't involve the wives fighting each other for title or the sons fighting (ruthlessly) for CP. If you pay close attention to when LBY was confronted on his choices by the Queen, 3rd prince sat quietly nearby and appeared sad knowing LBY was extremely torn when he answered the Queen.

This is just such a wonderful and perfect drama and I simply adore and love it! I just wanted to comment and say…
I will add that this drama has the most number of female characters portraying the strong will of a woman: From the annoying grandmother (who was a widow and raised all her children), the annoying brat whose whole family was murdered by her suitor/husband and the meekly cousin. If you think about it, most female characters have a difficult, tragic upbringing or a tragedy to come later in life. Most persevere. Even the annoying brats that once teased CSS - they all pretty much end up learning a very tragic life lesson and will have to live on. Probably my favorite of this portrayal is actually He Zhao Jun - she had a good upbringing with high social status yet, she had to endure what LBY did as a child- witnessing the murder of their family. I love how this drama doesn't make them out to totally lose their senses- with the exception of Wang Yan Ji. Many of them learn from their mistakes and try to live a better life.

Anyone else feel like their heart is aching after finishing the drama? I get this depressive state after finishing a highly addicted drama and then I need another drama (that isn't as intense) to help me with the withdrawal. It took me a week after The Untamed, that was bad.

I know people said there was no wedding and it was a disappointment. But the last few scenes of them together with CSS' family is actually like a wedding. Before that, they were alone under the stars, they essentially did their version of wedding vows and declarations of love sealed with a kiss. The family being there and witnessing them being together. The wedding is just a ceremony but this version is very beautiful. Neither of them care for grand ceremonies and to do all of this at night under the stars reflects the name of the show. I personally would love to see a tad fast forward of their married life as a short clip.

Okay, so Junhua is she really ill? Ans if LBY knew all along that he's not Ling Yi's son. what is he waiting for…
He was waiting to collect evidence because he wanted each one punished by law. When his only witness was killed off, that's when he was crying in the rain in deep sorrow because he had no other means to prove it. And the only way to get revenge without proof was to take matters into his own hands but it was a path he couldn't really escape without punishment. That's why he kept saying he can't stop. He had to go through with it.

Ep 54 08:45 when LBY & CSS finally looked into each other’s soul, held-back their tears from shedding, pressing…
It was painful. Telling each other how they plan out the next steps in their lives - respectively without one another and then reassuring they will cherish their own lives and live a good life, then the smiling at each other with eyes filled until they couldn't look at each other anymore. It was lying to each other and to themselves. Their lives haven't been complete since they parted and any plans that don't involve each other is just so damn sad. Ugh, my heart was aching so much right there.

I have suspicion given the trailer for ep 48 that falls on Thursday..it's going to end in that cliffhanger of the scene with LBY falling off the cliff and we will be in agony for 4 days! We need tissues, ice cream and a cat to get us through.

The emperor is too much. The pancake throwing and then dragging LBY to the corner out of sight to have a talk with him - honestly, he's every bit a father would act like towards their son. I laughed so much when he throws a temper.

I love Wu Lei. I've watched him grow over the years. One character is better than his next. Seeing him act angry, desperate and yet calm in the face of CSS being held hostage- his expressions and tone is spot on. Firm yet concerned. He may be a young actor but he has over a decade's worth of acting experience and he's learned from other veteran actors. So young with a lot of potential. In the BTS, he's not afraid of difficult and challenging moves/scenes. I also super glad he was overdubbed by others. His natural voice is so good.

Dethrone the Crown Prince! I can't take it no more
Even if CP was worthy of being the heir apparent, his wife isn't. She can't handle a love rival who has already married, has kids and simply no reason to be near the royal court. His wife is the future queen and it's expected as emperor to have multiple consorts. If she can't handle someone who has been married off, she can't handle any other consorts at all. Such jealousy is fine in a non royal family.

And her outburst of seeing herself so high and mighty and the gasp in saying how 'no one can touch me cuz I am…
I remember her saying that if she was a man, she could run for the CP title...I think she thinks she has the power of a man - having a 'harem' of men around her (and no shame about it), seeing life aside herself as worthless. If she was a CP, she would of been sent to exile.

Like most of us, even Ling Buyi told her the same "getting revenge against Wang Ling is different compared to…
It's not that they won't get revenge- usually the stakes are higher and the scheming is really out of this world but CSS' way of eye for an eye matches her age of '15'. OMG and when LBY told her that it was 'different', I was like "thank you!"
