After watching an mv it feels like everyone is going to die except ZYC ðŸ˜ðŸ˜.does anyone have the same feeling…
Kinda preparing myself for this. I think ZYC and WX will survive because their story is really just starting. We will not walk away from this without going through a few tissue boxes.
zyc lengthy conversation truly hits hard. no amount of ‘wanting to die’ can heal or bring back the death.…
You know it means a lot that they didn't just kill him because it was the easy way. ZYC keeps on getting reminded about his promise to kill ZYZ when the time comes - the time comes but ZYC holds back. The Old Mountain God decides to buy him time by sacrificing himself. They are all fighting for him because they see something good in him worth fighting for.
Chen Du Ling is no stranger to playing a dark character. My first impression of her was sadly as the obsessed antagonist in Till the End of the Moon and it carried me over to her other roles which we meh with me. So to see the upcoming arc of her being dark/demonic, is going to be interesting. I don't mind her acting here and I find that she compliments Neo very well.
Old Mountain God Ying Zhao knew The Great Demon way better than anyone else in both realms."Could someone so attentive…
I like to think of when ZYC threw his cape over ZYZ, it was a metaphoric hug. Granted it was to cover his back. It's also the best they can do to avoid censorship.
I'm a tad confused on the timeline itself. So it was revealed why ZYZ has been drinking his jade crushing water concoction. But in an earlier episode, he started drinking this when he had the white hair (which predates 8 years ago to the current timeline). The other thing is that today's episodes revealed Li Lun was trapped already and it was ZYZ who killed WX's master after the Blood Moon. Then he tried to kill WX by strangling her (she didn't die), then he goes to ZYC's sect and killed his father and brother and their comrades. His next memory is returning back to the Great Wilderness (where there is a glowing stone and a tree canopy). In between him going back to the stone, he was back to where WX was and he got the other half of the Baize token that suppressed his dark energy.
It does seem someone was controlling ZYZ back then - I expect if he went on a killing spree, it would be indiscriminate. ZYZ also said in earlier episode he was surprised the Blood Moon was very brief which suggests that it's not as naturally occurring as the old mountain god seem to think (he said that the dark energy comes from all parts of the world and for some reason, ZYZ is the vessel for it). There is no explanation as to why he is a vessel but that if he died, someone else would just be a vessel in his place (which makes it sounds like a never ending doomsday cycle).
The moment when young ZYZ was trying to blow the paper wind fan and it didn't move then Li Lun used his magic to move it and ZYZ instantly smiled- did anyone get any strong intense Untamed vibes here? Looks like next episode, we get to see a bit of their backstory but these tidbits here and there is killing me. There's clearly a deep history between them as good friends.
The question I have after all this heartbreak is , the scene where ZYZ used his magic to make ZYC dream instead…
I noticed that too. And before that, he singled out the dragon to kill first when he turned red. He was just standing next to Li Lun - he could have gone for Li Lun but instead it was the dragon - he certainly did something to him with those green eyes. And when it was ZYC, he only subdued him, rather than try to kill him. Either he had some level of control or someone was controlling him and held back when it came to ZYC. I'm speculating it's the masked man. He just disappeared when he held back ZYC at the gate.
Well, I used up a lot of tissues today. If a minor 2 episode character can get us this sad, I can't imagine when it comes to the main cast. For me, the hardest part of ZYZ's character is that he's by his very nature, a kind and sensitive demon. He has a great love and admiration for the mortal world and he craved that sort of life (have you seen anyone as happy as him just playing with fireworks?). Someone as kind and sensitive as him having a dark side that he has absolutely no control over magnifies the pain that he feels when he realized what he had done. I cried for him. No one would understand how he feels or appreciate the pain he endures. On the other note - someone or something must be behind ZYZ's transformation with the Blood Moon. He's lived thousands of years but it was only 8 years ago that there was a blood moon and he went on his killing spree. It doesn't appear the blood moon only happens every thousands of years as it just happened again so something must have triggered ZYZ to be a vessel to the dark energy (whatever you want to call it). The masked man has a different agenda. He wants ZYZ's inner core which may mean he wants ZYZ's ability to absorb all the dark energy (which makes him all too powerful) for a dark purpose. Li Lun - something is still wrong with him. He's powerful but he still seems to have something holding him back. He was temporarily changing back to his original form (tree) and he had to go somewhere in a hurry. I'm rather confused with his character - he doesn't seem to want ZYZ to die, nor does he want to kill him but he knew what the blood moon does to ZYZ - he helped triggered it and he seemed happy that his best friend was heading down a dark hole. Maybe the more righteous ZYZ appears, the more uncomfortable he is because he cares little about mortals and frankly is not the least concerned that ZYZ had gone on a killing spree.
On a side note, did ZYZ steal that dragon's power (possibly truth eye?) or was I imagining things?Edit: Watching…
Possibly stole the dragon's ability to change day and night. Which comes in handy when he wants to potentially escape the blood moon or shorten it. It was brought on early because the dragon switched day to night.
Why did Wein Xiao 's master had the full token in her and no demon to share the duty with her?
I believe it's not meant to be separated into two. It was when it was first created out of fairness - shared duty between mortal and demon. But successors to the token had it as a whole token. Presently, it's back to being split into two because Wen Xiao's master split it to keep ZYZ from going on a mindless killing spree.
The trailers gave it away that it was NOT a HE. For future watchers, you can stop after episode 24. The rest is just filler upon filler and whatever magic it had at the start, died out before the end of the series.
I always love the scene when ZYZ and WX together...just quietly sit beside each other and talk about what they…
So natural when they would sit together and have these conversations. Whenever they did those earlier flashbacks of them together back when he wore a mask, the foundation of their relationship was cemented there.
Li Lun seemed to be one of those villains I usually end up sympathizing with later into the story, but this guy's…
There was a very short character intro from the actor who played Li Lun. He explained in the intro that Li Lun appears to be the antagonist of the series but he comes from a place of wanting to protect his family and what he holds dear - his methods are absolutely questionable no doubt - does it justify it, unlikely. But there is much more to him - then just cause chaos and grief and have no disregard to any life - not a straightforward baddy.
Is it just me or neo hou really hits diff here? I hv wtch him in back from the brink, dashing youth.. but in here…
costume, hairstyle (first time he has this hair completely back and not in some bulb) and he carries himself in this role very good - when it comes to his body movements and his tone. He is fitting the role of a very old demon very well. His character also has a complicated history that so far, been given to us in breadcrumbs. I loved him to bits in Back from the Brink, hated Dashing Youth (but not Neo's fault) but this role - is my #1 of all his roles.
The Goddess who sealed fei and qing geng is a different one, right? She's not WX's master?
She looks different from WX's master and she is not the first bai ze goddess. The first bai ze goddess didn't even seal Fei and she got the plague already.
I’m all here for it. That slapping part was my fav haha. Neo Hou’s acting as a demon here is blowing my mind.…
and his tone, ah! Talks super slow for the most part and here when he's like not pretending to be all graceful for a second, he is comfortable with ZYC to slap him and tell him 'are you brainless?"
