A part of me thinks that she wasn't immediately scared of him and also being in that jail with him cuffed (knowing very well the cuffs and the jail wasn't actually confining him) to talk about the terms of their partnership - she knew deep down he was someone she knew (the masked man from the wilderness). There was a sense of familiarity and trust. Like she knew he wouldn't hurt her. There is a scene in the jail where they are bickering and she threatens to slit her throat- ZYZ's entire tone and demeanour changes from being playful to seriousness which further cements to her that he's not a threat to her.

I've been depressed all Sunday. I tried to find some light hearted drama to mend from. Needed a good laugh. I feel better now after seeing Neo's farewell message to his character posted. It's very beautiful.

Did you watch the special episode? I'm been sad all day. Hard to move on.

I agree with you. Took me some time, and a few dramas to recycle my feelings of her from TTEOTM. She is really good here and the chemistry to Neo is explosive.

It's because he doesn't actually understand how conniving mortals are and he oversimplifies their intentions. It's due to him not really being immersed in the mortal world unlike ZY who has so he was able to see things more clearly.

Now that we got some breathing room with the Baize token restored and ZYZ is back to being his old self again, we can move onto ZYC where I suspect the flashbacks of Lord Bing Yi will come at this time. There seems to be a lot more to explore but now just 10 episodes away. Excited!

It was through the flashbacks early on when the goddess was having a conversation with him - it predates him killing her where he expressed the will to die but he couldn't. At first I thought it was after the massacre but later episodes showed the goddess died the same night as ZYC's father/brother did.

She didn't go back in time but she did go through 300 years worth of time. So as I understand about the sundial, it creates a space where time passes by at a much faster rate than present time. So she was gone for half a day, was 300 years in the sundial. In the time she was in the sundial, the divine wood grew and she left just as it was long enough. Although I don't understand how the divine wood can grow in actual time but she can remain as if she was 24 years old anyways - probably can over look this.

Finally a moment to see XW worthy of ZYZ's love. I thought it was very beautiful

I find it a surprising revelation in that many people (including myself) thought the masked man was behind the control over ZY's dark energy. He was surprised to see ZY essentially resist the ejecting of his core. The fact that he still had some control (he didn't even kill that sidekick, just severely injured him) shows a great deal of restraint.

I am mentally prepared that ZYZ will die and there is no real HE for him. My only hope is that he does go out beautifully and meaningfully. The vision he saw of himself with WX is a 'what if' scenario but we know it cannot happen. It was painful because we know it won't happen. It's painful that he has found someone that he's willing to live for and suffer imaginable pain. I continue to watch this knowing that it's the tissue boxes at the end that's waiting for me. This drama is too beautiful and Neo has blown me away. It will be worth it. I promise you.

And how he made ZYC felt so guilty for even doubting he was a spy and he was angry with him.

I think he knows. He used the same cage and blood seal to hold ZYZ in last episode. Li Lun wouldn't have gotten it himself and it would have came from the masked man. he probably doesnt know the real motive of the masked man because he wants the very thing that can kill Li Lun.

I don't know. I don't think we've seen the last of Li Lun. Seems..rather too simple. After all that plotting..just so what? And the trailers show more scenes of him with fights so..did they just cut them out?
