Yes, Ashes of Love has a happy ending. I'm also saying the same. Phoenix got his girl and they had a son. I hope similar kind of ending here too. But, probably we are not getting that. Still, I hope for the best and enjoy this drama as much as I can. I watched the first 2 episodes and I must say It's a really good start.

MDL used to update their ratings data 2-3 times (sometimes even more) everyday. But something happened to MDL for last 2-3 weeks. Now, they don't update regularly. Last week, they didn't update the database for more than 2 days. This week, they are updating once per day. If they follow the same pattern, we might get the update after 10-12 hours. After the update, we will get the ratings.

Ashes of Love had a HE. I will give = this a go as I really enjoyed Ashes of Love. The calendar is scary but I hope for the best.

Does anyone know about the ending of the novel? Is it a happy ending? The airing schedule shows a broken heart in episode 40. That means the drama might not have a happy ending. After seeing this, I'm hesitating a bit to start this drama.

I also have mixed feeling about Ep 18. I didn't want the mother to take the kid. But, ML respected the kid's decision. If you consider the kid's feelings and the long-term effect this might be the correct decision. I got surprised by the kid actually. We don't see the kids have such strong opinions in other dramas. The kid here might be more mature than his age.

Yes, the drama is very good. People are complaining but still, they are watching, lol. Actually, deep down inside we all love second-chance love dramas. We get to see the couples overcome their problems and get back together stronger than ever. This gives romance more meaning.
New Life Begins was such a nice drama. I enjoyed that a lot.

The drama is getting really good now. We will get to see more romantic moments. All the previews and trailers suggest a lot of sweet romantic moments are coming. There were a lot of complaints from a lot of viewers. But in the end, I think everyone will be satisfied. They (ML & FL) already have great chemistry. I'm eagerly waiting for the romance to bloom out

Ep 21- Just after when they get back together, there is a breakup. The breakup is initiated by the FL. I must say, that is the perfect decision from her on the spot. This will help the ML to realize his feelings more, and (I hope) make him learn how to properly express his feelings. This breakup might be short breakup but, this will largely help both ML and FL in their character development.

Lol, actually don't stop commenting about Meet Yourself. (I was just kidding before). It feels good to see someone talking about Meet Yourself. It was a great experience. Seeing the name sometimes makes me remember those times.
I also listen to the OST's. I play Days and Saddle of My Heart when I'm driving. I just feel relaxed when listening those songs.

I love, how they are adding all the typical tropes of a melodrama, but when watching, the drama doesn't feel like a melodrama at all. It is a funny and feel-good-to-watch drama. Thoroughly enjoying it.

I think, romance will kick in very quickly, from episodes 19-20 (from the Airing schedule). Let's see how ML reflects himself. Hope to see the ML changes for the better.

Well, I think he already likes her. You could see he is always having his eyes on FL and getting jealous on some occasions. Probably, he is not that much expressive as we used to see in other ML's in a typical drama. Yes, he needs to be expressive. And I think he will change for good. If you didn't see the preview of ep 20 (a spoiler), he would confess to FL. And confession is sweet and bold.
Actually, I want to see some good dramas. Romance is always appreciated. But, if you are always obsessed with all the negative points of a drama, Its not a good experience for you and the other viewers. I see some people always complain about everything in all the dramas they watch. Still, they watch the drama, lol. So, why not watch the drama with an open mind and try to enjoy it properly? If you watch the drama with an open mind, I think you would find this drama a very good one. At least I enjoy this a lot.

Ep 16- last minute of the episode, when FL was trying to convince ML to play the mobile game, She looked and sounded exactly like Liu Yifei. Her looks have similarities to LYF, but I found the voice and acting style also have similarities with LYF in that scene.

When FL was telling ML to change the surgeon's name to Dr. Ding, I was like wth are you doing, girl? You can't say that to your trainer when your trainer offered you the surgery In front of a lot of people and the whole department know that you are the surgeon. It is downright disrespectful to your trainer and his judgment. ML said those words because he cared for her. If it was another trainer who doesn't say anything, FL would not be getting another surgery chance in the next 6 months. And most importantly, she wouldn't be overcoming her fear and challenges. She needs to face the reality.
I know, ML has some problems. He needs some things to reflect on. But we as the viewers should not be too much emotionally invested and find faults in his every action. Try to be more positive, not be negative all the time. Think everything with an open mind, do not think everything as you want to think.
Also, both ML and FL are 30 or more than 30 years old. We shouldn't expect to see some adrenaline-rushed romance as we see for teenage or twenties couples. Every action you do, and every word you say have consequences. We need to give more time before jumping to any conclusions.

For Cdramas and Jdramas, I would prefer Age group ratings from the statistics. The rating provided by the MDL largely depends on the number of votes. The dramas go from unranked to ranked phase when the drama is completed or about 3000 votes are cast. For the ranked dramas, the ratings increase with the number of votes. Suppose, Average rating for a drama is 8.5. The number of votes is 200. In this case, the ratings will be given 8.1 or 8.2. But if the number of votes is 20k, the ratings will show 8.5 or 8.6 if the votes go beyond 50k. Kdramas always get more than 20k-30k votes. They always have higher ratings. But some Cdramas get less than 1k votes. These dramas will always be underrated. It is better to check age group ratings from the statistics, which show average ratings for the different age groups. You can get a realistic estimate.
