1. What is the present-day relationship with the leads. Are they still friends now, or they became enemies?
2. How is the present-day relationship between ML and FL? I guess they are separated. What is FL doing in the present day?

The way OST's are used in this drama was simply wonderful. You can see "Saddle of my heart" to be played in all the romantic moments. This song makes the romantic moments extra romantic. Especially the text message conversations with saddle of my heart song are simply on another level. "Days" is played when something adventurous or something new happens. That song perfectly matches the theme. Lullaby song is used for childhood memories or past memories. The main Chinese OST is used for all other emotional moments. All the songs are put to perfect use. In the recent episodes, you would see a new song validate which is mainly used for sexy and hot scenes, lol. And that song is also used perfectly.

Hi, I don't think ipad is the problem. I normally windows on my pc, and ios on my phone. You just need to install related apps. I suggest you wait a few days for the official translation. Coz, there are so many errors in the machine-translated sub. It's like google translate. But, If you can't wait that long, you can install apps like vlc player (available in ios), and then manually insert the english sub. But I would recommend that you wait for the official sub

Yes, Granny was saying similar things to Hongdou in the earlier episodes. She worked hard to achieve what she wanted. She didn't stop when her first son died, when she had a lot of loans to pay. And this theme was told so many times in drama in different format. This is the portrayal of the reality. Writers did superb job here to give us the real lesson of life. There are so many important things about life, about people were showed in different episodes in form of different interactions and conversations.
I guess, the phone conversation between me and my parents is not only me. This is the common picture for so many people. Distance grows over time. You don't want it to happen, but it happens. But still, you can try to minimize the distance if you want.

I have so many conversations on the list. But I want to mention one particular conversation due to a special reason.
(Ep 17) Aunt Gui was having a conversation with Mr. Ma. She was talking about how her daughter got distant from her over the years. Her daughter used to discuss a lot of things with her. But nowadays the conversations are not the same. They still talk everyday on the phone. But they only ask, "How have you been?", "What did you eat?", "How is your health?", and "How is your work?". And they always give the same positive answer each time. Sometimes they have to lie to each other, so the other doesn't get worried. She was talking about her son was sick, but she didn't know about it until the new year meet.
When I watched that episode. I talked with my mom just 1 hour before. My mom asked me exact same questions. I answered her exact same way. I was a bit sick (nothing serious) that day. And I had to lie about myself. So, when I saw the same thing happening in front of me it hit me so hard that I can't explain it. I could see Aunt Gui as a typical mom and her feelings for her children. I called my mom that night and talked for hours.

Yes, It's up to you. Some people might not like some dramas and quit after a few episodes. But I did not see a single person on this drama page who actually watched this drama and complained. If you give time, it will become one of the best dramas for you. Good luck!

Yes, I watched Hometown CCC, one of my favorites.
Yes, Hometown CCC might be most similar to this drama. But still, it is different. Like Hometown CCC, this drama also is based on a small village, maybe a bigger community than Hometown CCC. The happy good feeling vibe is kinda similar in both dramas. That's all for similarities. Here you get a long list of characters, characters are more fun to watch, and conversations are more natural and more insightful. A lot of emotions and life lessons. And a top-notch script. Probably the best screenwriting I have watched so far. You will eventually see the difference.

Well, genre-wise this is like healing, heartwarming, slice-of-life drama. But in truth, it has its own genre. I have watched more than 400 dramas/movies, maybe 20-30 healing, slice-of-life dramas. But this is different. A strange mixture of all the genres.
One unique characteristic of this drama is that it is conversation or interaction driven. Most of the magical moments come from just simple conversations between the characters. Unlike other dramas where you just fast-forward the conversations and try to find some interesting moments. Here every minute and every conversation is fun to watch. Those tell us different stories, and different values and give us different emotions, insights, and life lessons. Sometimes, those conversations make you cry due to emotions, sometimes those make you cry due to happiness. As I said, This is a unique drama. You must watch to get your own opinion.
As for enjoyment, the drama keeps getting better and better. The first episodes are introductory. Once you get to know the characters, you will enjoy them more. Just for example, ep 10 is more exciting than ep 5. Then ep 20 is more fun than ep 10. Then ep 30 is more exciting than ep 20 like that.
Romance-wise, romance is not the main genre, but romance is well made. You might find romance better than some of the very big or fan-favorite romantic dramas.
I tried to make it short, but actually, I wrote a lot.

This was the end of probably one of the greatest dramas that were ever made. Don't know how long it would take for me to enjoy another drama that at least gives half of the enjoyment that this drama gave.

Looking at the ending first is okay here. As we already know, what the ending would be like. Tbh, the plot is kinda predictable. But the greatness of the drama also lies in its predictability. As most of the occurrences in our life are predictable like this drama. Still, life is extraordinary. The drama is also the same, extraordinary. You just have to watch it. No matter how much you get spoiled or how many times you watch, it is still enjoyable.

Same here, I just started from ep 32. Feeling emotional already that, after today no new episodes will be coming. Nothing like watching 2 episodes, and then come here and discuss about the episodes. It's a mix feeling.
