Ep 26 preview- Any idea who might be the new lady when Hongdou was leaving? Is she a new tenant of the yard?

Typical chinese drama trailer, unlike any kdrama trailer. Chinese drama trailers always spoil the main story of the drama. Also, the ending credits have a lot of spoilers. A good thing is, from the trailer we can at least guess this drama has a happy ending.

Hometown chachacha is similar to this. But its not the same. Hometown CCC doesn't have too many emotional moments like this drama, also dialogues and screenwriting are better in Meet Yourself. Hometown CCC focuses more on romance, and best thing it has the same happy vibe and good feeling atmosphere just like this drama. Its a must watch.

Liu Yifei used to be popular, one of the most popular in China. But she was not regular in China after the initial success. She went more into movies, then Hong Kong and Hollywood industry. But Seven Tan gained a lot of fanbase in the recent years.

Well, let's not say bad things about that drama here. Their fanbase won't like it. Actually, it's not a bad drama if your expectation is not high. I got hugely disappointed but some people liked it. You might give that a try, but don't expect too much. Maybe then you can enjoy it more.
I agree with your comments, fanbases and marketing play a huge role in the drama success. If you watch more, you get to know more and distinguish the dramas which actually are good and worth watching.

Who is your favorite supporting character in this drama? Damai is my favorite.

Most probably Flight to You was released in much bigger broadcasting station. They invested a lot for the drama. They might have huge promotional marketing. But Meet Yourself, you can see there is no promotion. Also, I think Seven Tan is more popular than Liu Yifei to the younger generation. She has a huge fanbase. So that could also be a reason.
Don't think too much about these rankings. Those ranking do not matter. There is no comparison between these two dramas. Plotwise, Flight to You is a total mess, one of the worst you can see. Even the good acting and production team can't save you if the plot is a mess.

Well, let the watchers decide what they should rate. There will be always some watchers who give low ratings to everything. It is upto you what you should rate.

Its a 10 for me, and I hardly give any drama a 10 rating.
:D, I've also become a fan of Damai character. When I first saw this character, I thought she is a weird character, and I won't be liking her. But the actress made this character an adorable one to us. You can't help but root for her.

If you are watching the drama, DON'T FORGET to give a rating to this drama. This way the drama will be recognized by more people. This drama certainly deserves a much better rating and much more recognition.

Episode 22 was released. But only 17 episodes are with English subtitles. About the spoilers, I would suggest don’t think about romance. Or don’t wonder about would it worth your time. Just start watching. Everyone who watched this loved it. It might become one of the best dramas for you.
About the romance spoilers, I can only say off course romance is there, and romance was developed in a very natural way. Romance development is some way better than some very good romantic dramas.

I think, Huang Xin Xin the character who works in the village office. She is responsible for all the infrastructure and development activities in the village. There is another Xin character i think, who is the assistant of Yao. The girl who climbed the wall for him. Yao has another girl assistant named Gezi who is a photographer, takes picture and responsible for marketing. I'm not sure of the roles of everyone. But that what I got from the episodes that I have watched.
Nana's backstory is still to be revealed. Most probably she is a singer. Maybe she had some scandals and issues, so doesn't want to come in front of the camera.

I don't know, I would be calling this as a melodrama. Nowadays, melodrama term is mainly used for some types of drama. This drama is the complete opposite of that kind.
Anyway, Hometown chachacha is one of my most favorite dramas. This drama has a similar positive happy vibe like Hometown chachacha. This drama also did one thing better which is emotional attachments. I wish there are more dramas like this and Hometown chachacha

Why not trying your smartphone. Nowadays, google translate app is pretty damn advanced, it can translate any text from any picture.

Both episodes 16 and 17 were brilliant. A lot of heartfelt moments. Can't wait for the next episode to come out. A good thing is we might get episode 18 subbed tomorrow although there is not any raw episode (episode 23) tomorrow.
