I was able to do it bc so many good dramas are out at the same time lol, so they could distract me and help me wait. I'm now watching Love Never Fails and Youthful Glory, both are really good so far. Next on watchlist is Love in Pavilion and Legend of Zang Hai.

Those are all excellent points!! I've read nearly all of her books, but it's been such a long time since I did a re-read. In current times, my fav books with a similar feel (intelligent, kind FL winning the heart of morally grey, wounded hero out for revenge) are:

The Savage and The Swan by Ella Fields (fantasy)
The Raider by Monica McCarty (historical)
The Darkest Temptation by Danielle Lori (mafia)
Blood of My Monster by Rina Kent (mafia)

I absolutely love enemies-to-lovers romances that are beautifully executed, which is why The Prisoner of Beauty captivated my attention as soon as I read the synopsis! Def now one of my top fav cdramas with this trope! Story of Kunning Palace, Till the End of the Moon and Love Between Fairy and Devil are my other top favs with this trope!

Haha actually I ended up pausing after Ep 17, just so that I could binge watch several episodes all at once! 🙃

Same, I couldn't recall what happened in Blossom either. I guess that means it wasn't a meaningful drama to me.
