I know that he'll be busy filming his 3 movies right after Hometown Cha Cha Cha ends all the way till the 1st half of next year but...can we have a drama comeback for maybe the 2nd half of next year please? I need to see him on the small screen. I'm gonna miss him too much once Hometown Cha Cha Cha ends. It's gonna be like post-Start Up Kim Seonho withdrawal again. Except this time I can't binge watch 1N2D to cope because I'm all caught up already. LOL

Not gonna lie but when Hyejin was confessing, I curled up, hugged my pillow and was mentally preparing myself for a rejection from Dushik. But then THAT happened and I shrieked like a banshee. LOL. I'm so in love with them being in love. UGH

Well everyone is entitled to their own personal taste. The genre of this drama is probably not your cup of tea and that is completely fine. But it seems to suit the tastes of many others thus the ratings. Personally I really like the slice-of-life format of the show thus why I'm enjoying it. I wouldn't say it's the best drama (there's more yet to be seen) but enjoyable thus far and I like the fact that I could watch it with a smile on my face throughout.

Aight. I'm fully invested after Ep 3 & 4. It's the kind of drama I need in my life right now.

This is a slice-of-life rom com so viewers need to come into the drama with the right expectations. Some might find it slow-paced but that's because slice-of-life is meant to be character-driven rather than plot-driven. As a fan of slice-of-life, I absolutely enjoyed this! Can't wait for episode 2! Also the cinematography is *chef's kiss*

In my opinion, the first 2 episodes were a bit rough but episode 3 onwards is when it gets really good. I don't like Dongman initially but he grew on me as the episodes go by and as his bromance with Sunho develops. I find all the characters interesting so far. Also I like that our ML, Sunho, despite questionably entering the academy because of Kanghee, he's not being creepy about it (for example taking advantage of being in the same campus by following her around, or stalking etc like what the usual kdrama guys would do to be noticed) . In fact, when he entered the academy he pretty much does his own thing and works hard by himself and for himself. Probably because his reasons for joining changed along the way. First it was Kanghee. Second it was because he wanted to make his dad proud. The next reason would be purely for himself as he finally realized his own dreams.

The way I see it is that Kang Sunho was already inclined to applying for the Police Academy. We can see from the way he looked at the Police Academy PR advertisement with a slight interest in the beginning. Adding on to his form teacher's recommendation for him to apply for it. It's like fate telling him that this might be the right path of career for him. We also saw him deliberating about it for abit. And just like fate, that was when he received Kang Hee's post notification. Lol. So in a way, he was already considering the idea of Police Academy but knowing that Oh Kang Hee was also applying for it gave him that final push to make a decision. While his feelings of first love gave him that push, but I believe that along the way he will be harvesting an honest and sincere dream of becoming someone. Even if right now he still felt like he may not have any dreams yet, the seeds have already been planted.

This feels like You're All Surrounded with three lead characters: two newbies and one mentor as well as a romance on the side (plus an ensemble cast of characters for the underdog team/group). Except the characters here are younger and it takes place in an Academy before becoming full-fledged cops.

I liked You're All Surrounded so I'll be looking forward to this one since it gives me the same vibes from the teasers.

The filming was halted a while back but have since resumed filming again back in April. I assume that there will be a delay with the premiere as well and would most likely air towards the end of this year or early next year. There are rumours that it will be made available on Disney+ as well.

Ahh I'll miss this drama so much. Its definitely a comfort drama that made my Wednesdays and Thursdays much happier. The rewatchability factor of this show is definitely 10/10 for me.

Since this week will be the last week of airing for this drama, maybe we can share what are our favourite scenes or moments from the show so far?

My favourite would be the scene where Shin Wooyeo quoted Nietzche and Love in the Time of Cholera. Because that's when I actually fell in love with his character. I literally felt the butterflies in my stomach and I still feel the same way when I rewatch that scene.

Like Lee Dam, I too, am a huge fan of great lines with a weak spot for hot guys. LOL 😭

You know, I've seen some Wooyeo haters on other sites trying to vilify Wooyeo's character (wanting so hard to believe that he's the one that tripped Jaejin on purpose which tbh would be out of character for him because he's not an unrefined character) but Wooyeo still remains an unproblematic fox 🦊💅 lol


I can't believe Wooyeo have some people hating on him just for being a nice male lead 😂
It reminds me of the situation with Haru from Extraordinary You and Taek from Reply 1988. 😂

The using of female professor for energy plot was introduced and concluded in just one episode. lol. In the webtoon, i think it went on slightly longer?
Also I think Lee Dam quitting her job happened quite early in the drama as well. In the webtoon, at least from what I remembered, it didnt happen this quickly.

They definitely jumbled up some of the sequences from the webtoon to make the storyline flow better in the show.

Also while the red string is still there, after Lee Dam quit her job, the effects of the red string waned a bit. This is probably because she has finally decided to take the matters of fate and destiny into her own hands. As she starts actively distancing herself, the red string between Dam and Seonwoo will slowly lose its significance. Even the Mountain God will be impressed. So no worries for those who are worried. lol

Based on the preview, I'm guessing that they will start on the project of making Wooyeo human. Hyesun will be involved as well. Then we'll discover that turning human isn't that easy. There's more to it than just getting enough energy and turning the marble blue. Dam will also eventually find out the key reason as to why he's not turning. That's probably why in the preview, Wooyeo's marble had turned blue and yet he's still not human.

& because in the drama they actually added an additional conflict of Wooyeo possibly ceasing to exist and turning into a Maegu if he don't make it by the deadline, the stakes are higher here. & I can foresee desperation from the characters along the way.

Also the reason why Dam was upset was because she realised how different their perspective on morality is. Dam, as a human, have strong moral and ethical codes. Wooyeo, is of course, not a human so he does not fully understand what morality is. Just like the trolley dilemma question of whether you are willing to sacrifice one important person to save five other innocent people or if you would sacrifice five innocent people to save that one important person. For him, there would be no hesitation and he would choose to save Dam while sacrificing others. That is the problem. Because as a humane person, you would hesitate and you'll need to go through a long process of reasoning because it is not a simple problem as it questions your own moral values. This shows that Wooyeo is not really that close to being human yet.

Maybe because I'm a webtoon reader but i found that everything went by so fast? LOL
Other webtoon readers, do you feel the same way?
I know that for those who do not read the webtoon, you might find that the plot is dragging but in the webtoon some of the issues and conflict points went on for much longer. I'm quite surprised to see some of the issues and conflict points being introduced and flew by quickly in just one episode? lol

Yup. In the webtoon there's a bed scene where they *ahem* do the deed. LOL

Why do I have a feeling they might replace the webtoon *cough* bed scene *cough* with the 'innocently looking through photo albums' bed scene from the preview to keep it pg- 13? 😂

About Sunwoo. I had my fair share of liking the 'bad boy turned soft' guys in kdramas. But they are mostly, if not all, are misunderstood bad boys/play boys. Most had valid reasons as to why they had to be or turned that way.
Sunwoo, on the other hand, is different because he had no reasons. He's just entitled and has a superiority complex to begin with. So that's probably why I couldn't get behind him (no matter how cute he is! Because let's face it Bae In Hyuk is cute) . Lol.
Good that he's changing though. But he should definitely change for his own benefit and not just for a girl.
