I think the only person who could never annoy anyone is So Hee, tho. 🤔 I would say 7high and Se Dol like their drama and attention a bit much sometimes.
Well, she can be like that. There's always a guy like that (now gal) and I always like them (usually they win!). The game is not about being nice and humble, imho. 😆
This is probably the first time in a show like this that I actually like ALL the participants. They get salty about losing and betrayal like everyone else, yes, but they actually PLAY the games. It isn't just one or three people playing while being followed by other six clueless people. I love how they all have their little wins and adventures and it isn't just two people carrying the show.
I also like how everyone has such different styles. Some are kinda ruthless, others play it safe, others like team play, others seem like they feel safer alone, etc.
The only thing I didn't like is how they got divided on the first day and that became the established teams (at least for the ones on the prison). I feel like there's some kind of imbalance because one group actually chose to play with each other based on skills and temporary trust, while the other team felt like they had to play with each other because they all where in prison together. But, tbh, they don't really work as a team at all. If they keep it that way they'll never win (as a team), and will keep having the death match with the same people over and over again. So new alliances will make it waaay more interesting.
Anyway my faves are Ha Rim (usually a guy is always the one being the one who tries to win by himself, I love how this time we got a smart girl that can get to the top alone), Justin (dude's a quiet winner, that's cool), So Hee (she's an even quieter winner, literally zero drama), Eun Gyul (love how straightforward and fearless she is), and probably Tinno and Kyuhyun that are pretty much just chilling and trying to have fun but also do what they need to do to survive. I also like how Ji Yeon doesn't seem to get how they get so into the game that they forget to eat or something, lmao. She knows her priorities. 😅 But, tbh, I just love them all. It's so refreshing they're all on the same level (to play) for once.
She supposively was 19 at the time of filming. Obviously I have no way of confirming this, but for the sake of…
I don't get the point of this convo so I'll just clarify that "when the fat" means "when the fuck". It's a joke from a airing kdrama. I wasn't calling you fat or anything like that.
She supposively was 19 at the time of filming. Obviously I have no way of confirming this, but for the sake of…
That makes her legally an adult (for like, months?), but lady time I checked no one becomes an adult only because it's their birthday. That's not how maturity works. And anyone who had gone through it knows that. That's also why there are kids that seem "mature" (but still not grown enough to date adults), because life experiences is what makes a person. So, no, I don't assume that people that just got out of high school should go around dating 30 years old because they're legally adults. And I don't trust any adult that goes around dating barely legal kids.
23/24yo are way different than 19yo. And any adult knows that. So the problem isn't a random age gap (I'm actually shipping a 26yo and a 40yo in another dating show), the problem is that she was a kid just yesterday. No one grows up from one day to the other. "She acts mature for her age" yeah yeah yeah, that's literally what everyone says when they sit to talk with a teenager on a random day. That feeling disappears very quickly. People legit think kids can't think or be smart or thoughtful. LOL they get so surprised when a teenager says something that makes sense that they confuse them for someone older.
PS. when the fat are people on the internet going to stop telling others what they should watch or have an opinion about. Like, if you don't agree it's fine, but no one is making you agree with them. I definitely wasn't. "just don't watch show"? We can do wtv we want, so, deal with it?
I know what the controversy is about but what I really find problematic is that I keep seeing people talk about how Hangyeol was a minor while filming the show? Is this for real? This is the detail that's bothering me the most about this whole thing. If that's true I don't think all the other stuff matter much, because wtf was Ri Won doing planning trips/dates with a kid?
Watching anyone flirt with HG is gonna make me feel uncomfortable. So, if someone has the information, please let me know.
having someone who's born in 2006 with a bunch of 90s is WEIRD. as someone who was born in 99, I'd NEVER date…
No way they have someone from 2006 in the show. That means when this was filmed she was 18, and the legal age in Korea is 19. Even if they filmed this year, after her birthday, she would barely be 19. That would be ridiculous.
I already love this. All the girls are lovely in their own way. ...but I can't stop thinking of how cute Mi Rang is (that shy smile!), and I love Ri Won's perspective on things. I'm really like them. Anyway, I really love the vibe of the show and I hope it stays this cute till the end.
TLDR: I'm liking this so far. It takes time to change feelings ... Heesu needs time to get over his friend and…
I'm enjoying the show too! What I didn't like last week was how SW seemed to have less of a story/depth than the other characters, so I liked that this week we learned about his family and his friendship with JY.
And I really like how the whole thing is just two pair of besties finding love. I hope we get to see proper double dates by the end of the drama!
And you're totally right: they can be a couple without any problem because they're straight, popular and confident. Society doesn't make them feel like they need to hide. HS can't even talk about other gay people without panicking, so what are people expecting from his story? Especially when he has been in love with a straight guy for years now. Let the boy figure out his stuff. And it's good SW hasn't confessed yet, because he would probably get rejected. But now that HS will let CY go once for all, he will have the space to accept SW's feelings.
Anyway, I'm so glad this isn't your regular fan service BL. I'm really enjoying HS's journey.
Does anyone know how is the show doing in Korea? Besides LITBC, this is the first korean BL to have such long episodes/deep character study, etc, so I hope it does well and we get more queer stories like this. Maybe one day we'll get a 16 episodes BL.
I totally get the what everyone's talking about. I don't even remember the ML's name because the guy is more of a side character than his bestie. LMAO
He's the only one of the 4 that literally has nothing going on besides the romance. The show is about Heesu so we know a lot about him (family, friends, personality, likes, etc), then we know a lot about Heesu's crush, Chanyeong, with the tenis, family dynamic, he's dynamic with Heesu, his first crush ever in ML's bestie, etc. Then we learn that Chanyeong's crush is rich but not really, she's popular, has a personality not everyone likes, she makes music covers, she reads Normal People, she has goals in life, etc. And she's the ML's only friend. Then we have the ML... He likes Heesu. I don't even remember why. He's just there being dragged by Heesu everywhere pretending to like someone else. And he has a mom, but even Chanyeong's trainer/teacher gets more screentime than her. ROFL
I didn't read the webtoon so I don't have a particular problem with the secondary couple (I even saw fans of the webtoon shipping those two characters even though Chanyeong had another girlfriend in the OG story), but the show is doing the ML so dirty, I feel like I'm gonna end up hating them too. Not as individual characters (Chanyeong is one of my faves tbh), but as a couple probably yeah. Like, if they keep his character so one dimensional it's gonna be weird to make Heesu fall for him. Like, what's he supposed to fall for? We know NOTHING about that kid.
I hope they start giving the guy the depth he deserves. Show him interact with his family! Friends! Let him have a normal scene with Heesu! Give the boy something, please. I want to like him a lot and root for him for a better reason than him just being the end game. Like, at this point, I prefer the other friend (the one who's always knitting) than him. That kid's adorable and funny and a good friend. I'm rooting for him and the tsundere so hard (I guess there's one straight couple I like, lol).
Hehe
