I think it is just about changing over time. Not sure why American/Western TV has to be brought into this as a…
I don't know about you but I can't say for sure that korean audiences are enjoying the series or not because I can't read korean and I'm not hanging around in Korean forums. BUT I'm pretty sure there was a time where translated news articles were talking about how the audience was sick of them casting idols who couldn't act *shrugs shoulders*

Try to watch some old dramas that you never seen. I bet you will be disappointed. There is so many weak k-dramas…
Omg that's so sad . . . but like I said, personal preferances REALLY matter. I'm one of those that LOVED You're beautiful and still do. It may be outdated and cheesy, the feel is still great while watching.

westernized....in what way? they are still pretty distinctly korean bc.....
Yeah they're korean but I was mostly talking about how with American dramas most of them are legal or cop stuff. Seems like the TYPE of kdramas that they are making are moving towards that genre.

Chemistry is pretty subjective to the viewers. I guess it depends on whether the audience buys into the romance…
This is something I treasure in kdramas (the obvious lack of clothes tearing!) but sadly, kdramas have seemed to take out the romance part too now XD hahahahhaha there's no hope

I totally agree that the recent k-dramas are boring, especially the story. Like it starts out great, but it gets…

Hii, I've read both your articles so now I feel ready to answer and tell you my story! I've been watching kdramas…
Hi Elena, I'm sorry for all that you're going through. Please believe that things will get better in the future. Have you started kdramas recently or have you been watching mostly from 2018-2020 of those 44 dramas? Then I highly recommend to go through the previous years and not waste your time with the recent ones. I've come across at least more than a 100 dramas that were worth watching even though they weren't perfect at all.

The thing that bothers me with new dramas is the open ambitious ending they often have! I live and breath romance…
I personally love endings with marriage. They make me feel like the couple is moving onto their next chapter which gets me excited even though you don't know what's going to happen.
