YES THIS. They're sticking to these types of dramas (they are a few that are great) but it's not a surprise that there hasn't been a drama that hit 40% in ratings in A WHILE or 20% yet for an episode.

there were a few times I rewatched a lakorn or something and wondered why did I even like this in the first place :D Maybe it's all out the moods.

Haha you're right about the flashbacks. They must think viewers have memory loss so why not repeat the same scene 15 minutes later in the same episode :D

You're definitely onto something, Amy!!! There's something missing to the new dramas but with Chinese dramas you can still enjoy watching them, even if it means skipping the draggy parts.

And yes! I just mentioned this to someone else above that it might not be a slump beause if you can still watch older dramas and enjoy every second, how is it that you can't even get through 15 minutes of a new drama?

I do love other genres besides romcom but unfortunately most of these dramas weren't my cup of tea. But I haven't tried the guest yet. Is it very scary?

Are you human too and clean with passion was really good. Enjoyed almost all episodes. Even doctor john is great because of course, it's Jisung ❤ He looks so hot in black hahaha :D

I used to watch Supernatural with my bro before but lost interest after the 6th season. Life takes up most of my time with responsibilities and whatnot but I still miss watching dramas.

This year's kdramas are just a big FAT disappointment. And gone are those days when you'll find a good melodrama anymore. They seem to be more obsessed with pushing out detective, law, and high profession dramas.

If only we could feel excited again, how amazing would that be? *_* Fiery priest was good but I wish it had more romantic moments because they chemistry was lit!! (I've still yet to complete it *facepalm* >.<)

I was a bit hesitant to write this article but just felt like maybe I should share my two cents Hahaha :D The only two recent jdramas I absolutely LOVED was Todome no Kiss and Kahogo no Kahoko. I rewatched kahogo a few months ago when the movie came out and it still remains amazing. Wish I could find more jdramas that are awesome like those.

Your English is completely fine! It does feel like they're moving towards an American approach in a way which is totally cool in terms of filming and better cameras like Arthdal Chronicles but I wish they wouldn't lose that uniqueness that every drama had - that special feeling. Nowadays, it's hard to connect to the story.

I actually went back to watching way older dramas too like I'm Sorry I Love You (2004) even though tragedy is something I actively avoid but still it was enjoyable :D

I totally agree with you! I don't know but new dramas feel like a copy cat to american dramas? And that's something I ran away from except Once Upon A Time (my favorite!!)

Yes, you do have a point. But dramas have changed quite a bit if you compare them to the old ones. The story, plot, and characters aren't as touching or interesting as the ones before. Maybe dramas have changed to a certain extent where we can't quite relate to the new ones anymore but yeah my preferences have changed too. It might be 50/50.

There were a few I liked last year but there were plenty I dropped towards the end. I didn't even bother to update my list so I'm not too sure of my numbers. I also miss those fun rom coms :(
