I truly understand your struggles. My favorite genre is historical dramas - both Korean and Chinese and I have…
Oh, you started with Jumong! That's a great start haha, it is one of the most famous historical shows in Korea. I still have not seen it, but will do it eventually. Researching informaition about the period is very helpful for sure, I'm happy to know I'm not the only one who do that. It can be risky if you search too much though, for example if you decide to search info about Yi Bang Won and the beginning of Joseon Dynasty, you'll get spoiled for Six Flying Dragons for sure. But still, it's very helpful, and it's also interesting to see how much the drama stays relevant to the historical period. I remember reading about Joseon after I finished SFD and I was amazed by how well the drama showed what happened back then. Truly a masterpiece. Thank you so much for your kind words!
Beautifully written article and I do share your sentiments. Thank you for sharing :)I absolutely adore period…
Thank you!
I will start watching Nirvana in Fire today, I hope it will be good :D The Royal Gambler looks really interesting, I will check it out someday for sure~
And yeah, historical dramas/movies take you to another world, it's truly fascinating.
I FEEL YOU! Especially with Chinese dramas and tones of supporting characters. I'm more use to Korean names so…
Ahahahah most of the time I just try to remember their faces (which is also a struggle), I only remember the names of my favourite characters XD and if I can't remember even the names of my faves, I just call them my man/my baby XD
I love all historical drama, both asian and west. But some of the asian historical particularly has a very slow…
I have only seen Under the Power and wasn't a big fan :D Battle of Changsha and Ming Lan are on my PTW list~
Yeah, I highly recommend Joy of Life, it's truly amazing! I'm not the biggest fan of Arthdal but it's definitely something different so yeah, I think you should give it a try. I would also recommend Six Flying Dragons~
So far this is really good. It took a quite surprising turn in episode 3 but since it is "only" episode 3, I do…
I came looking for comments about the FL XD She seems suspicious, it seems like something is wrong with her but I can't tell what exactly... I don't think it's the actress. Maybe she has her hidden motives to marry Hyun Soo? Idk honestly
Thank you for reading!Yeah, sometimes the side characters are interesting too. I guess I should check out TMOFB,…
I'm not sure that I'll like Eternal Love either; I've tried watching Eternal Love of Dream but I dropped it because I couldn't get into the story even tho I liked the two main leads :c I hope Eternal Love is better
The show, at first, was focused mainly on Moon Young as a character and her APD. Then, it became focused on Sang…
I mean I love it a lot but yeah, if you weren't impressed by the first 6 episodes, I don't think it's worth giving it a second try XD + the last two eps were kinda meh lol
I mean, I dropped the show. And after reading your article and the interpretation of it, I feel like I did well.…
The show, at first, was focused mainly on Moon Young as a character and her APD. Then, it became focused on Sang Tae and Gang Tae, and then/now it focuses more on the trio as a friends who are honestly not okay at all but they try to search for comfort in each other. They changed the focus, that's why the reactions are different :D As for Moon Young, she's pretty much the same, just a bit more emotional and stressed out. And a little bit more understanding I guess. She's still aggressive af lol and she does what she wants without caring about the others. Gang Tae usually calms her down and since he's around her a lot now, she's happy bc she got what she wanted. That "It's okay to not be okay" is not only for Moon Young, but for the trio (especially Gang Tae) and some side characters xD I think the title suits the show well though~
Nope, I'm definitely not into starry eyed romance, actually I don't even care about romance in dramas that much…
I was not offended, I just needed to clarify haha, don't worry~ I do enjoy character-driven dramas more than plot-driven ones for sure. The characters themselves are important to me, not the relationships between them though. Thank you for reading and commenting on our article! ~
I personally love shows that go controversial. It means people out there feel strongly about it. I mean, we're…
Nope, I'm definitely not into starry eyed romance, actually I don't even care about romance in dramas that much lol. I'm a big fan of twisty plots hahaha, the more twisted is the better ;) But there are exceptions, of coruse. As Jeana said in one of her replies below, we have similar tastes^^
