Haha I was just going to ask, and assume it’s been asked previously. When are they going to finish the high…
Given the number of eps, anything past 14 (which is a given from the previews) is more than half the show and I’m curious to see how it’s all stitched together in the current era.
Li Su Su, girl, your sister from another universe, Ren Su Su, got the same ending as you… left alone with a…
I literally said that in the Overdo thread. 😂 Totally different plots, totally different eras. Totally different characters. But, I couldn’t help but keep drawing parallels between that show and this one. Toxic, angsty and traumatic. Someone said Overdo had the xianxia trauma without the genre lol. TTEOM has left remnants of trauma since i watched it.
Chu Ran played such a complex character as Ren Su Su, whose entire journey was tangled between her love life and…
Chu Ran’s currently filming drama with Chen Zhe Yuan touches many lifetimes/ time periods so hopefully NO REPUBLICAN TRAUMA! I guess the only thing of this time period is both LingHe and Churan looked DAMN fine and gorgeous. Like damn, LingHe in hot ass leather jackets and uniform and ChuRan in her beautiful hair and outfits lol lol
heard it’s a sad ending, thankfully I dropped at ep 4 was waiting for the eps to line up, so I can watch it…
It is from a literal perspective but he does chat about an alternative universe where everyone is happy and alive.
Tbh, their relationship was so turbulent, it would’ve been odd if everything was rises and butterflies. They reconciled and loved each other in the end.
And for me, they literally never showed Qingyi dead, but on the verge, and that Susu would now wait for him, in an alternative world/another life.
budget differences. and his emperor fits actually have meaningful motiffs. also, yty doesn’t have idol drama…
I agree that the filter in Fated Hearts at times was a bit much.
And I do like that they have REAL skin here. I’ll be conscious to note the motifs on his robes.
Perhaps it’s the total updo bun too. And it might just be me, but he does seem a bit slimmer here (perhaps less layers of robe too) so his presence seemed different.
Are You The One? is Wang Churan's best drama in my opinion, I'm currently watching it right now. She's truly strong,…
I have mixed feelings about AYTO. She was super powerful but then half way through the plot, when she regained her memories and found out who he really was, that whole bad as assassin vibe kinda got lost. I still thoroughly enjoyed that show, however.
Ren susu is definitely one of the most hated characters main characters i believe because i saw a poll on youtube…
She’s flawed. And loves Qingyi in her own convoluted way. She wants to protect him but their past, her revenge and their circumstances are so messy. Here, I thought he was gonna be the most toxic one in this show, but she takes the cake haha
Oh, it dropped even further. What's the deal ? Personally I was threw off by the AI opening in the very first…
Lots of factors. Many have been said before. AI, CGI and some over the top cuts/ dramatic acting. But overall, this plot is engaging (for me), their relationship is toxic, angsty, complex, and layered upon misunderstandings and secrets.
Its everything it was expected to be. Lots of hate online and many, despite not watching it (or seeing previews) are jumping onto that bandwagon. Furthermore, the blow up of POJ and ZLH has amplified comparisons and hate, as people felt it didn’t not live up nor support ZLH’s continued hype.
Personally, I say watch and judge for yourself. Their relationship is messy. So don’t expect 33 episodes of tangos and other pretty scenes you’ve seen in trailers or short videos. Positives are definitely their costumes, the performances and that the episodes are quite short and the plot moves quickly.
They promised us toxic and angsty for a year, and they delivered. Cinematography and directing aside, it baffles me how people are surprised that their relationship is like this.
Only relationship I could second to this is probably Tantai Jin and Li Susu.
Maybe it’s a thing for Susu’s to be in toxic relationships LOL
I NEED THE EXPRESS NOW !!! Enough with the torture from the characters to one ep per day.
Ep 26 had me! Never a dull moment. Fave scene when Qingyi realises Le’an is his son from the broad bean allergy and confronts Susu about it!
Their relationship is a complex toxic web. She loves him and keeps things from him. Which also creates his misunderstandings. Things would be easier if she would just be honest with him. Deep down love and hate are this delicate line. They’re both flawed characters. Both have trauma.
I for one, love how fast paced this show is. Nothing is dragged out for too long! And I’m swooning at ZLH’s styling in literally every scene.
These MangoTV English subs are killing me 😂 On a side note, is it just me or is the styling a bit plain? I’m struggling to see CZY as the regal emperor he’s meant to be. The costumes, makeup etc are a bit too basic. At the start I thought his makeup was a bit much, but together with his hair and costumes, he really shone as the regal first prince Feng Sui Ge.
Gradually waiting for Meng Meng and He Du’s mutual distrust and drama to turn into jealously and affection. 🙃

I wonder what alternative ending he filmed.
This gives me TTEOTM trauma/toxicity again haha
