Agreed - all the non action dramas he's the same character - quiet, reserved, smart, with some sort of trauma.
He's played a laywer x2, marketing consultant, programmer/train driver, data analyst...

I thought so too but it's temporary. For me, I need Jinyoung to play more diverse characters in romance dramas.

Never did I think this show would be soo good. I'm not really a big TXW fan, but she's eating the Chang Yu role! And need i say more about ZHL...he is drooling eye candy from ep 1. Their chemistry is electrifying. He is so handsome as a general. Chemistry, action and HUMOUR! Haven't laughed so much in a while for a cdrama. My fave side character is actually the hawk/carrier pigeon and her wanting to catch and eat it lol lol.

They have an interesting dynamic. She's quite stoic, but deep down really wants to be loved. Qu Hua (aka Ben...I keep calling him Ben cause of TWOT) appears more soft but he's been scared by past scars too. So it was interesting to see their relationship flourish in it's own way.

Her mum explaining the birds and the bees in ep 9 and being worried that Muyang’s head injury would affect “other parts” of him. 🤣 I’m like don’t worry mama, our guy has got his soul bonding skills mastered. 😝

Won’t be surprised if Chasing Dreams becomes Pursuit of Dreams too 😆😭

I figured one of the reasons was that there was also Chasing Dreams too, so I was getting confused with that drama. lol. Have seen worse names out there

It’s a double edged sword, literally airing two CXX shows back to back.
He had great chemistry and scenes with LYX too. Lets hope this can stand on its own.

This show will inevitably face a lot of comparison with LBL that just aired (fabulous show and chemistry). CXX plays a cold CEO and it doesn’t help the SML is the same actor. Also starts off with a game…

Despite the webtoon, Babi from S2 was also the fave for me. They had great chemistry until the end.

I know - I was hoping that since it’s not ancient drama, the editing period would be shorter but o get the review and distribution licence takes time too.

I second both comments above. Fated Hearts and Coroner’s Diary were two of my most liked, mature relationship ancient dramas of 2025. Highly recommend.

Many C actors/resses have dance backgrounds and you can tell in the fight scenes. There is this elegance and poise to their form.

They won’t make the amnesia 2.0 arc too long. They have 10 eps left. Gotta heal FSG and leave room for the epic final battle with Jinxiu. Plot goes full circle.

Agree but they had to weave in the Murong family betraying FSG.
Why anyone would believe the Empress when her disgraced father literally just died and the king and first prince miraculously “died”, only for her son to conveniently take the crown.
Who are the biggest beneficiaries? The second prince and the Murong family. Anyone with half a brain would know this.

FYX digging him out of being buried alive was epic though.
And at least the costume designer remembered to give FSG the old arrow scar from ep 1 amongst his other injuries in the scene of him being treated by Dr Ling.
Promise I just wasn’t perving at CZY’s muscular naked upper body and did pay attention to this small detail LOL.

Well since C dramaland may van the “overbearing ceo” storyline due to its “distance from reality” writers may be more creative about how they weave it into storyline’s haha
