A Really, Really, Really Good Concept, But a Poor, Poor, Poor Execution. Yeon Sang Ho Will Never live up to the Train to Busan Expectations, and i think the problem is he wanting to do all, he needs a good writer to make this movies become once again a thing who everyone look up to. what a waste of cast. (Like they Said: it is a movie to watch in your free time without expectations, with them, forget it!)
There is little to practically zero chemistry between the characters; the villain is more interesting than any of them, even though the script forces things a bit here and there. The characters' decision-making is often questionable. I think what was missing here but present in abundance in Train to Busan was the masterful blend of pacing and emotion; you can't aim for a fast-paced movie without keeping that in mind. To me, this is the kind of script that would fit perfectly into a 6-to 8 episode miniseries, with the potential for a second or even a third season.

It's valid, but for me it doesn't really work that way. Even if it were the same story with different actors, it would offer something different. I think it's valid and I respect it, but I bet that a good portion of the people who have this view are the same ones who comment that nothing new comes out, judging the K-dramas that are released based on the synopsis. (Not that that's the case here.)
Last year I watched about 35 dramas that were released in 2025, and this year I see that I'm going to easily surpass that number. I'm surprised that people aren't as interested in the more varied selection, but I understand; it's not like everyone has time to watch 70+ dramas a year.

In my opinion, it will be quite limited; that was never the point of the work, and I even think it's ideal to break away from the standard dramas on this theme. Go Young Jung was in one exactly like that earlier this year, and the plot of that one got lost because of it.
I'm enjoying the first season, and then I get the news that the unbearable FL won't be in the second. I can't even express my happiness; it was already good, now it's even better!
i'm writing this being in the start of the first episode: i think we have a new classic... the first masterpiece of the year. what a life is to watch this type of storys!
