I think this relates to the lifetime value of his annual salary, though I could be mistaken; I took it more to mean he was accepting that the money wasn't really *him*—that the assets didn't belong to his true self. It was sort of a confirmation that the money hadn't changed him—at least not up to that point—and while he had previously been unsure, he now seems to have cleared that up once and for all.
I think we can already say that 2026 was a better year for K-dramas than 2025; even though I don't believe any of them will surpass *When Life Gives You Tangerines*, in a broader sense, there have been so many good shows released—and so many more to come. I’m surprised by how the changes made to the source material in this adaptation seem to have further enhanced the quality of the work; I’m really enjoying it so far.

I'm not saying this negatively; in my view, having older colleagues creates a perfect environment for learning and growth. Even though Lee Do Hyun has been quite talented since the beginning of his career, it's clear how much he has honed his skills through the projects he's worked on alongside more experienced actresses.

A Really, Really, Really Good Concept, But a Poor, Poor, Poor Execution. Yeon Sang Ho Will Never live up to the Train to Busan Expectations, and i think the problem is he wanting to do all, he needs a good writer to make this movies become once again a thing who everyone look up to. what a waste of cast. (Like they Said: it is a movie to watch in your free time without expectations, with them, forget it!)
There is little to practically zero chemistry between the characters; the villain is more interesting than any of them, even though the script forces things a bit here and there. The characters' decision-making is often questionable. I think what was missing here but present in abundance in Train to Busan was the masterful blend of pacing and emotion; you can't aim for a fast-paced movie without keeping that in mind. To me, this is the kind of script that would fit perfectly into a 6-to 8 episode miniseries, with the potential for a second or even a third season.

It's valid, but for me it doesn't really work that way. Even if it were the same story with different actors, it would offer something different. I think it's valid and I respect it, but I bet that a good portion of the people who have this view are the same ones who comment that nothing new comes out, judging the K-dramas that are released based on the synopsis. (Not that that's the case here.)
Last year I watched about 35 dramas that were released in 2025, and this year I see that I'm going to easily surpass that number. I'm surprised that people aren't as interested in the more varied selection, but I understand; it's not like everyone has time to watch 70+ dramas a year.
