YES! This is giving me everything that I was wanting from LON!! This is much darker! The ML truly is ruthless & gritty! LXY really pushes himself to play almost a manic character at times & he doesn't shy away from skinship. I love the intimacy they portray here ( & yes it's DARK!) It doesn't seem out of place or deliberately put in to grab viewers. The acting behind it is so good that it just blends in beautiful with their toxic chemistry & dark storyline.

Ok, I've completed everything that's available and in just the 3 episodes and remaining trailers I am happy to say that this is the best thing I have seen all year and that includes The Double (and I loved The Double). It doesn't even bother me if they have a sad ending I am just hooked on their story, their chemistry & their acting...also - DARK Liu Xueyi is mesmerizing!! So is our FL. This series is gritty, gory & sexy. Fingers crossed this will continue until the end. 🤞

Holy MOLY that 1st episode was awesome! Loved everything about it! Just superb acting by our two leads. We definitely have a red flag here!! (That bathtub scene!!) I am still trying to process what I just saw!!! - love it 😌

This drama deserves more than a 7.9 😭😭.It's a solid 9 for me! The OST is embedded in my head. ❤

I would LOVE to see him play a serial killer! Wow, the fact that he wants to do that tells me he has the ability to go there. Looks like his management/company needs to chase down those darker, serious roles!

I only watched A Journey To Love in August & it was my first time seeing Liu Yuning. Loved him ever since then. A very talented all rounder. He was also great in A Legend Of Anle. He is just naturally charismatic & it works very well for him! Absolutely adore him. He certainly doesn't deserve the twisted hate that comes his way. I think a lot of idols & entertainers have to deal with that.

I am at episode 3 at the moment and I am really enjoying it. I was watching Love Of Nirvana and put it on hold after 10 episodes. I just wasn't into Ren's acting. I had no problems with him being a red flag but his expressions were a bit flat to me - but I wanted to give him another go because it was the first time I had seen him. I really like him in this series. I think because he couldn't talk in the first few episodes he had to really work on his expressions and he's done really well. I am also here for Dilraba too. She always makes good shows and I only recently started watching her stuff as well.

UPDATE: Just completed now. This is pretty good for a mini drama! It was able to keep my attention all the way through to the end. People may not realise this but this mini is rated higher than Maid's Revenge which is pretty popular. This is nothing spectacular but it does deserve more credit than it's given. The ost does grow on you and in the final episode it does bring everything to an emotional close.

Finished this a couple of days ago and this was fantastic!! For a mini it's one of the best I have seen! So surprised by how good it was and so happy I decided to watch it!

Yes! I only found out a few days ago he sang the main theme to one of my favourite Cdramas' ever, Word of Honor!! Never knew it was him all this time. 😭

I find Liu Yuning so charming - he is such a talented actor! At the same time he is just dorky & adorable. 😂

The series that introduced me to Liu Yuning. I had no idea who he was before I watched and by the end of this series he had become one of my favourite actors. I only finished this back in August. Every now and again I come back and watch a few of my favourite scenes. I miss them all...😭

I LOVE this!! I am only up to episode 6 but everything is making me happy. I initially came here for Wang Hedi but ending up loving the storyline & our FL. I LOVE, LOVE Wang Hedi in this role. I thought he was too immature & annoying in Meteor Garden, I thought he was OK in LBFAD but I couldn't finish the series & I couldn't stand it when they would swap roles - It just broke his character for me. He was scripted so badly in Only For Love! He was playing a character that was way too old for him (or he just didn't pull it off well 😥). In this series he doesn't pretend to be older & he is not too immature. It just makes you realise he can act really well when directed to do so. I am the same age as Wang Hedi and it is so great to see him playing his own age!! I know this series is not as popular as Only For Love even though this series has a higher rating!

In all honesty I think Dream Within A Dream is what most fans are looking forward to. To me the trailer, the costumes, the colours and bts all look better. I think Liu Yuning & Li Yitong match really well. They seem to have similar temperaments. They bounce off each other really well as actors . I also feel like this series promotes both their leads equally - however I have to say I am excited for both releases. Also just to answer your question about other dramas with Liu Yuning - my favourite two are A Journey To Love & The Legend of Anle.

I am so excited for Tales of Dark River! I have been a fan of Gong Jun ever since I started watching cdrama! I didn't realise Pen Xiao Ran was the FL! I am watching Romance of a Twin Flower where she is also the FL with Ding Yu Xi and it is so good!! AND Chan Huasen who was great in A Journey To Love...so great casting & the costumes look AMAZING. So excited for this drama!

It is an absolute classic! It is one of the best Kdramas EVER. Love this so much! It probably has one of the highest rewatch values too. It is a MUST WATCH if you love kdrama!!

UPDATE: Just finished it now! I came at first for Ding Yu Xi but stayed for all the other characters!! Loved the FL- PXR!
Gui Bai ( he kind of stole the show!!) and the lovely A Li Ya (played Qian Lian Xue - ML's cousin)

This is a hidden gem! It is light-hearted for sure but it's exactly what I need as a breather from the epic, battle-ridden, palace drama I am always watching. I am only up to episode three but this is so FUNNY, it is set at a cracking pace, the plot is simple & it's executed well, BEAUTIFUL set design, fantastic main leads! Both of these actors work off each other so well. This is most likely a filler drama but a VERY GOOD quality one. It's a joy to watch.
