Title My Fated Boy
Dropped this as everyone grated on my nerves. The FL looks like a drug addict, the ML acts like a brat, the SML rolls over like a doormat and the SFL is just plain annoying. Urgh.

Title Love and Redemption Spoiler
This drama started out really good, until it dragged halfway through. I liked Yuan Bing Yan here better than in "My Sassy Princess" but her character became annoying towards the second half. I mainly plowed through this drama because of Cheng Yi's portrayal of a devoted man who sacrificed everything for the sake of love, including multiple deaths in several lifetimes and realms. How much more a guy can take is beyond me, but apparently a lot if you are to base on Si Feng's actions.

This was supposed to be a tragic love story, with heart-wrenching moments, but what I found ridiculous are the numerous times characters are brought back to life, some who I even have long forgotten. Also, I found myself inappropriately laughing during scenes where Si Feng implores with Xuan Ji in the body of the Devil Star, as if they are starring in a body-swap BL drama. I just can't.

Title Go Ahead
Ling Xiao's mother is the worst mother in any dramaland.
Yeah, I can't stand her even on Episode 1. Don't know which trope is worse for me, bad mothers or clingy chasers (usually from second female leads) who won't take no for an answer. And don't start me on people who gas-light.

It does not deserve the rating, I think some people messed it up, it should have at least and 8.5
I agree the rating is skewed because although I did like TharnType, ITSAY is on a different league and should be so much higher than TharnType at 8.3. Even Bad Buddy is higher. Don't understand the logic at all.

okay but like is 1 year even considered to be an age difference ? i thought that someone 2-3 years above or below…
Ikr! I don't even consider a minimum of 5 yr difference a true age-gap . A difficult of 1 to 2 years should not be considered a noona romance.

I had this problem in the beginning until I googled later and found out you can fix this by adjusting the settings…
Yes because for a while my eyes were like 1 inch away from the TV, I could almost taste the screen.

The subtitles are a disaster, be warned. White English subs over white Korean subs over light backgrounds. Almost…
I had this problem in the beginning until I googled later and found out you can fix this by adjusting the settings on the TV and not on the app. I put my subtitle background as solid black with white font and it totally covered the Korean subs.

The bright side to this though, and to CM's credit, at least he didn't string JH along and nipped it in the bud…
Basically they said they are not dating because Changmin doesn't have time to date because he's too busy at the restaurant.

They had a live for more than 2 hrs but no eng subs so this video is a summary of sorts will explain a bit what happened.

Where did you see that? I couldn't find the information anywhere
I don't think it's toxic fans. It's because it's China's tendency to ban everything that reflects Western influence. Like they banned things that are futuristic, ideological, things that incite freedom of thought. TV shows with time travel, witchcraft, reincarnation, "immoral" values like smoking, drinking, gambling, etc etc.

It's been around for years https://qz.com/630159/chinas-new-television-rules-ban-homosexuality-drinking-and-vengeance/

But they just expanded lately to include more and more things, like they are banning celebrities showing excessive wealth, idol culture, effeminate men, shows that are too entertaining, etc etc.
They always have a reason for everything, they even banned Winnie the Pooh and Peppa Pig for chrissakes. So yes, it's just because it's China. But more particularly it's China under leadership of Xi Jin Ping.
On Who Rules the World Sep 20, 2022
I don't know what it is it lately with Wuxia Chinese dramas that are hitting the mark. And "Who Rules the World" is one of them. This frenemies-to-lovers historical romance stars Zhao Lu Si and Yang Yang as martial art masters from opposing lands. My favorite Chinese actress Lu Si delivers as the buoyant trouble-maker who enjoys her freedom despite undisclosed ties to one of the ruling state. Yang Yang is not so shabby himself as the calm and collected prince-slash-fighter-of-justice who occupies two seats of the renowned "Four Gentlemen" with his two personas. Together as Hei Feng Xi and Bai Feng Xi, they make an unformidable team, and their constant bickering reminds me of a married couple in love (though they did not know it yet, or perhaps they do, but are in denial).

Aside from the MC's visuals and flirting though, what makes this drama so good is the wealth of multi-dimensional characters, dramatic intrigue, political twists and turns that kept me on my toes. The cinematography is also something to be admired, especially the seamless battle scenes. What I also liked about this drama is that there are no overtly annoying secondary characters that I want to wring their necks or slap them across the face. Yes, there are pretentious villains, there are ambitious eggheads, and murderous mistresses but what historical Chinese drama does not? At least, in this drama, they were more than just stick-figures. I also liked how compact this drama is, that they managed to condense this story in 40 episodes with hardly any fillers.
On Why Women Love Sep 20, 2022
One of the better Noona romances out there. Zhao Jiang Yue and Gu Jia Xin sizzles on screen and their chemistry makes their romance so believable. I like the irony of an unromantic, no-nonsense woman being the tech director of a dating app, which relies on big data analytics to match potential partners. Jiang Yue's and Jia Xin's relationship really began with the ML's intention to help the FL in pursuit of her old boss. The banter between them was easy-going and friendly.

The FL's practicality clashes almost with the impulsiveness of the pro-racer ML, it also maybe due the fact that her immunity to the ML's charms has something to do with pining for her supposedly-unrequited crush. Former boss Ning Yuan's agonizingly slow and subtle romantic interest barely registers with the oblivious FL, that he required the help (or not) of an unlikely advisor in the form of FL's love-rival Yan-Ran. The SFL/SML interactions are awkwardly funny together that it works, although the SFL is equally unforgivable as the cloying chick clinging to the ML. I hate this trope in Chinese Dramas: the desperately stubborn SFL who wouldn't take no for an answer and stalks the ML everywhere. To Yan Ran's credit, at least she does it without sabotaging the FL, but instead focuses her energy on getting the Ning Yuan and Jiang Yue together.

The other couples also have their own bittersweet stories. FL/ML's BFFs Duo Xi and Qi Heng reunited after years apart and learned to work through a long-distance relationship. Social Media Influencer Jing Jing and her on/off hubby Zhang Hao had more problems that turn out to be solvable in the face of love. The love advice at the end of each episode is also cute and note-worthy. Overall, this is such a fun and flirty drama.
On Love the Way You Are Sep 20, 2022
I love my fair share of Noona romances, but this somehow didn't work for me, and it's not because of the step-siblings factor (that didn't bother me at all), but I felt the drama so uneventful that it lulled me to sleep half of the time. Fast forwarded most scenes with the second and third pairings, they were too dull for my taste. Only watched this for the main couple until I realized later that this was a remake of "Something in the Rain" after the iconic "hand under the table" scene.

Sure it didn't have the annoyingly repetitive soundtrack of the Korean version, but it also didn't have the same nostalgia as the original. The Korean version at least tried to get a pluvious motif running, although sluggishly executed. I couldn't connect to the characters that are mostly one-dimensional, and there's not enough meat in the story for me to rate this higher. It seemed to me that the insertion of many plot arcs are just fillers, with no real contribution to the drama except for hitting the 30 episode quota they set for themselves.
On Sungkyunkwan Scandal Sep 20, 2022
It's been a long time since I enjoyed a drama and anticipated so much of it that I finished this in record time. And maybe it's because of this, that I was a little bit upset with the drama ending so quickly because I actually wanted more and didn't want it to be over. At 20 episodes, which I usually think is a good enough number, now it is too short. I love the characters as individuals with their own brand of personality and as a group how they lean on each other and help each other grow. This is one of the times that I wish that the writers did not end things with a neatly tied bows and explored more of the ending.
On I Need Romance Sep 20, 2022
If you like "Sex and City" type's realistic take on dating in the 21st century, then this series is for you. It certainly is more risque than your average Korean rom-com (of course it is still considered tame compared to Western shows), and gives you a candid peek on the romantic and sex lives of 30+ Korean city gals without the fluff. Finally some real HOT action. Choices that some characters made can be questionable but that is the appeal of this drama - that life is not neatly compartmentalized into A or B packages...and it is the journey and not the end that matters.
On Babyfaced Beauty Sep 20, 2022
Just have to bear and grin through the first few episodes and then it becomes really enjoyable to watch. Never rooted so much for a couple to be together and for the lead to succeed. Even a drama about the fashion industry is presented as fascinating even though cutthroat (as expected) unlike Tokyo Juliet
On Listen to My Heart Sep 20, 2022
Would have gotten a higher rating from me if not for the first 2 or 3 episodes which are slow/ kept getting better after each episode. Really good drama about family dynamic. Two lead actors quite good in acting (and also good looking) and the bromance is cute.

Nail-biting action - romance - drama. The journey of a hero trying to fight injustice against all odds. One of Lee Min Ho's better dramas and he's hot here, maybe because of all the kicking ass he is doing here. Don't miss out!

Cute story with good combination of serious and funny moments. Couple pairing is good and have chemistry. I like Jung Il Woo better here than in 49 days and the pairing is better. . Only don't like some of the secondary couples.

Cross between "Dream High" and " "You're Beautiful." Love the Yong Hwa and Shin Hye pairing. But disappointing lackluster you-call-that-a-kiss in the end (which I find with most Shin Hye dramas)
