@ephermal @phoe-enex Thanks for your support. The funny thing is some people are so triggered with that one word when in my original post I did say that the drama reeked of longing and love as is the definition of romance.
And Bromance is still a type of romance, if not, it would be called male bonding, brotherhood, etc

I see people just scanning comments ready to pounce from the sidelines just so they can spout highly convoluted, seemingly intellectual comments as if we are going to be graded on how well we debate on a Dramalist website.
Whatever happened to just expressing enjoyment about the drama?

And to note I would have watched GL dramas as well if they are any good ones. Aside from thr Handmaiden, the ones I watched were so meh. It seems biased that they have more selections of Asian BL/gay themes than GL/lesbian story lines, but that's a discussion for another day.

And what is great about the drama is not just the bromance but there is actually meat to the story....to see how characters are flawed but still have redeeming qualities and not everything is black or white. So amazing so amazing story!!!!!

Best drama ever!!!! I was so afraid that the censorship will ruin things but they did not!!!! I was really pissed with how censorship ruined Advance bravely ..don't get me wrong...that drama was good but could be better. BUT THIS is drama is OFF the chart!!!! The glances between LZ and WWX reek of longing and love....they didn't have to kiss or hug to show they love each other. Great actors both as well the rest of the cast.

This drama set the bar so high everything i watch next may not live up to it....so

The only ongoing series that actually I took a risk on and paid off was LBC....others even my highly anticipated TWM:NC , My Dream , Cause you're my boy and countless others just wasted my damn time,, good thing in all cases I was smart enough to drop after 2 episodes.....even then...time still wasted......

Yes!.Yes! Yes! It looks like someone trying to make a great dish by putting like 20 ingredients together without mixing it... and so all the ingredients have competing flavors instead of focusing on a few key ingredients to bring out a
distinctive taste.

I totally agree with you...this could be a better drama if they cut out unnecessary scenes like the few scenes with Tang yi and Andy in the beginning (I know it was to get shao fei jealous but it didnt need to be dragged out.......and they introduced too many characters and did bits of every body here and there instead of just focusing on a select few.....like even on episode 18.....they didn't even need to put the boss's daughter getting married and that could have done it quicker.....
They even the guy who was obsessed with Tang Yi that died....do they really need to show that too? Are they trying to show how popular Tang Yi is with the guys that pretty much almost everyone has a crush on him?

I would have just focused on two pairings instead of all these 1 sided crushes that went nowhere

DM is the way to go and it's getting more difficult to find out where AU is. I believe some people here in this comment section have offered to DM the links so please use that instead.

The only thing that keeps me going is the acting of Jung Hae In. But otherwise, this is a slow-cooking drama made worse by alternating cringe-worthy soundtracks playing at inappropriate moments. I was rooting for the couple in the beginning but towards the end, I feel frustrated for the Main Female Lead that I wanted to push her off a cliff because the self-sacrificing male lead deserved better. The decisions made by the female martyr seemed so self-serving even when she thought she had good intentions as if she WANTS to play the role of the suffering victim that needs to be saved by the young prince. The drama wants to come across as an art film but becomes more fartsy than artsy. Saving this film from pure destruction is the chemistry between the leads, but otherwise, this drama can go to hell along with the obnoxious, social-climbing mother.

Really? Including supposedly what it looks like Andy was going to go down on Tang Yi?? And I didn't peg Tang Yi as a sister....maybe Andy but not Tang Yi....

Am I the only one who's sad that Tang Yi....despite knowing that Andy having a boyfriend...still messes around with him and vice versa.....

Yes, I got that in episodes earlier where underling was trying a few times to hold onto Tang Yi's hand but Tang Yi brushed him off and at one point even Tang Yi said something along the lines like: "we are just bothers" emphasis on just. Implying that they can't be more than that (as Tang Yi doesn't return his feelings).

Most Korean Dramas over the last 10 years have decent kiss scenes so Korean Dramas CAN pull it off. It also depends on the comfortability of the actors around each other, that's why good casting directors don't just choose actors who just look good in their respective roles, but also have readings among potential casts between the leads to see if they have onscreen chemistry.

Hesitating to start this drama from the same writer as the overhyped "Heirs" and "DOTS" although "Secret Garden" is not bad. Used to be okay with sad or open endings, when I have all the time in the world to watch dramas, but I also don't want to waste time on dramas where there is no closure as it looks like this one is. Movies with sad/open endings are okay since they are on average only takes 2 hours of my time. So not entirely sure if "Let's meet again in afterlife" is the ending I want to waste on after taking up 20 hours of my life. Still on the fence especially when it is not readily available to watch in my country (not in YT, Netflix or Viki).

I dropped this drama after watching a few episodes because the pace is soooooo freaking slow and characters so one-dimensional. I also checked the kissing scenes and blah they're like mosquito bites. ...if it's romance, I'm expecting the kisses to be good or at the very least, decent. I don't expect any good kissing scenes like from Healer or any dramas that focus on thriller or political themes....but if a drama is touting itself to be a romance, decent kisses are a must.

I feel this drama is overhyped and its popularity questionable. If the only reason why this drama got a high rating and became popular is because it is a social commentary on the standards of beauty and the plastic surgery industry and trying to give a message that girls need self esteem ...that beauty is in the inside....yada yada yada..... then I don't need to watch a Boring drama just to know that.
