Hi! Where did you read the novel? Can you post the link here?
ManishaSingh is onto something as I read some other reviews regarding this novel and does seem like trash so not even sure if it's worth going through the effort of reading it
Hi! Where did you read the novel? Can you post the link here?
Even without English translation of novel, people who are desperate enough like me can go to the Chinese novel link and have google translate the page. Be warned though that it would sound funny in some parts especially the names, but you will get the idea. Hahhaah.
I agree. I think he is just an OK actor and so he has a hard time in gay roles. Someone has to sit down with him…
I think it depends on how comfortable the actor is with their own sexuality...or how afraid they are of being typecasted or how afraid they are also of being rumored as gay irl aby others.
Like Godt who was clearly uncomfortable with a gay role, there are a lot of straight actors who need time to adjust with the role..while others are comfortable with it.
For me, the ones who don't look to be comfortable with gay roles are the ones who have problems with dodging gay rumors (looking at you New, Krist) ....while the ones who are comfortable with gay roles, seem to be the ones who don't really give a fluck about being typecasted (Singto, Max, Earth to name a few)
But really I think it boils down to the actors' comfort level as the same thing could be said for Male/Female couplings where some actresses draw the line on open mouth kissing, etc. Etc. For example, I've been waiting for the longest time for a InSun smooch but I think I'll grow a tail before that ever happens.
I think it depends on the role and the writing, he is not the best actor of GMM but if they give him a charachter…
I so agree with you! I like New better in Sotus and seems to be better as Apo. I don't know if that has to do with Tay and New being bestfriends irl because I saw an interview before that either Tay or New said it was awkward acting between them especially during kissing scenes because they've been friends for so long. And they are not alone as a few other onscreen partners (even hetero ones) who are friends irl also express the same awkwardness when acting in romantic/sexual relationships.
This is by far my favorite BL series this year and I don't know whether it's attributed to this show itself or maybe because I was kinda disappointed with the rest of the shows that TharnType stood out.
So se waited forever for this so called kiss? Why the hell is Kai shocked/surprised his boyfriend of 3 years kissed…
Hahhahaah about lan zhan and wei ying having more chemisty than petekao.......petekao is like stale bread....hahhah....I'm now just watching for sunmork..... At least no matter how disappointing TWM:NC was to me, at least KornKnock still have some spark left even with all that drama.
I really love this show. And the chemistry between gulf and mew is amazing. I never thought 2 people could look…
I know right! And to be honest I'm so much into Mew but when he's with gulf and the way gulf blushes and smiles when they're together are so precious. Even if I was as hot as Gulf's girlfriend, I'd be jealous. Hahahah
Ahem, that was not a shower scene. For a shower scene, watch TharnType :P
I think it's not so much New can't act but because of DBK being a sequel. I had an earlier comment about this as There is yet a sequel that l could find that would justice to the original storyline (whether in a BL drama or not). Because people expect the bar to be higher for the sequel if not at least equal.
With the original story, people usually do not have expectations, so the bar is lower and people are more forgiving. And like in a relationship, the excitement dissipates after the pair hooks up. The couple is more complacent if not have more problems, unlike the initial "courtship" before they become partners.
It happened with TWM:NC and a host of other sequels where it cannot outdo or even compare to the first.
PeteKao's relationship has plateaued whereas SunMork's is just burgeoning. It's pretty hard to maintain the same spark even irl. So I can't even blame them for not having the same intensity that they had in KMA.
That's ALL we were asking for. Some soft moments like the hand holds, and the arms around his waist, maybe a sweet…
I think you probably hit a mark there about sequels. There is yet a sequel that I could find that would justice to the original storyline (whether in a BL drama or not). Because people expect the bar to be higher for the sequel if not at least equal.

Sometimes, to prevent this from happening, I try not to go in anticipating the sequels just to avoid disappointment.

I also find Gulf pretty attractive, especially off screen when he smiles, maybe it's also because he reminds me of Max (of TWM) when he crunches his brows (on screen).

Amen @ reefpicker i live for the sexual tension and honestly I'm probably one of the few who thought that Bathroom scene in MODC was bland. The same way the an@l sex scene in Like Love was to me (yawn), I prefer the scenes in TWM that leaves a lot to the imagination but the sizzling chemistry is palpable through the screen.
And this doesn't mean I'm a prude as I've seen my fair share that of gay sex like in Pornographer, Indigo Mood, Ambiguous Focus, Call Boy, which features simulated sex that is way more raunchy than MODC.
Hopefully we'll get a second season for next year! LBC is getting one.
I know about the LBC but Pete x Ae apparently will not be there and it's mainly about TinCan. Honestly, I'm probably only one of the few who doesn't like that pairing so I'm not really anticipating LBC 2. However I'm game for TharnType season 2.
I wouldn't use the word 'toxic' though. People makes mistake; people can be emotional, irrational, and immature.…
Yes, I agree. It's like he's thinking that he's always the victim and threatening to breakup just because things don't go his way is emotional blackmail. Tharn sure surrounds himself with sketchy people....especially when I know what a dickbag Lhong really is, I can't stand how he's coming across as the supportive best friend when I know the truth.
With only 4 episodes left and the preview for the next one seems like things would be worse...I don't know how they will end this series on a positive note...and I think I read somewhere that this is only half of the book.....
