Respectfully, this drama and I are not compatible.
This isn’t a bad drama, but it’s definitely not built for my taste. The humor leans hard into exaggerated antics, and while it occasionally lands, it often feels like the show is trying to convince me it’s funnier than it actually is. The premise itself had room to be interesting—a modern guy dropped into a mystical dynasty, suddenly living as someone everyone thinks is foolish—but the execution doesn’t quite click. The story jumps from modern competence to ancient problem‑solving without giving that transition any real weight, and the result feels more gimmicky than clever. After two episodes, I can see why people say it’s good, but I can also see the cliffhanger warning signs. I’m not investing 30 or 40 episodes only to be left dangling without closure. Respectfully, it’s just not my jam, and I’m tapping out early rather than dragging myself through something that doesn’t match what I enjoy.
