I saw the first episode, and I will definitely give this to episode 3 or 4, but it seems to me that it has a personality disorder. Is it a thriller, a warm-hearted family drama, a comedy? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact the a man who is so sweet with his own daughter and pretty easy going/kind with his new charge would ever in a million years consent to kidnap a child.
Making him clownish (running to the store, hiding under the bed in the hospital, etc.) and then having him take a child and hold her for money (again, I know that's not what happened, but that was the plan...) just doesn't jive for me.
Based on the last 5 minutes of episode 1 (that was WOW!), I'm here for another few episodes, but can someone tell me that the show finds its groove later on?
The first 7 episodes are near perfect! What a ride! The eighth episode was needed, but lacked the punch of the first 7. Still, this is a great escape from the winter blues.
Three episodes in and I'm hooked! It has been SO LONG since I've watched a drama that I couldn't wait to see. I have to watch this one in "real time" and it's killing me. Yeah, my girl Park Min Young is back!!!!!
Should you watch it or not? Yes! No romance to speak of, but 20 hours of God of Handsomeness Sog Joong-ki, and a decent amount of crack intrigue is a fun ride. 2022 was a crap year for kdramas, and this was one of the few that kept me excited. Watching in real time (aka, 2 episodes per week) was the only thing that got me through the winter. Is the plot silly? Of course, aren't all time-travel plots wishful thinking. SJK is a great actor, and his choice of projects are solid. Give it 3 episodes to see if you like it - I think you'll be hooked.
It's been a long time since I've been so invested in a Kdrama - this is the perfect blend of sweet, romance, thriller, intrigue, and eye candy. The pacing isn't too fast or too slow - their growth of feelings for each otherfeels very authentic - My Lovely Liar is a lovely, lovely show. Total 2nd lead syndrome, waiting for the next episodes is tough.
I watched the UK version years ago and it was a masterpeice. Ashes to Ashes is less a sequel - more like a "next generation." It had a different (female) lead and was set in the '80s.
I hate revenge ,I find it useless but I do like the bad guys being tortured ,I dropped doctor prisoner..can is…
Yes, this is much crackier than Doctor Prisoner - more built up angst and well-defined back story. Usually I don't go for revenge dramas, either, but The Glory is addictive (in the best possible kdrama way). All the acting is top-notch, and the main villian is perfect in her horribleness. She's the perfect example of love to hate. In fact, all the "bad guys" are so good at being bad - it's a pleasure to watch them fall. (God, I sound terrible! But it's a good vicarious thrill). Lots of twists and turns. Give it 3 episodes - you won't be disappointed.
This isn't the greatest kdrama, but it's got enough cracky moments to get you to the finish line. It's the perfect drama while you're waiting for the new fall line up. I don't usually love revenge stories, but this one hits it out of the ballpark! If you liked Little Women or Doctor Prisoner, then you will love this! Revenge, in the hands of a good kdrama, is sweet AND spicey....
No, a total snooze. Try Dali and the Cocky Prince? That's one of my favorites.
You'll love it! If you don't already have the hots for Kim Min-jae now, you will after 1 episode!!!!!!!!! He's hot AND funny! Don't even get me started on the clothes...I want them all :)
Very average - such a disappointment after Doberman Prosecutor and Yumi's Cells - those were perfect kdramas. I got throught this only because I had COVID and I was bored out of my mind. If you are on the fence, skip it - it's not worth 12 hours....
An easy binge, a silly story, pretty people and pretty clothes, twelve 36-minute episodes , ultimately an unsatisfying ending - plus, why did they have to make the villian SO pathetic. Overalll, a time filler waiting for something better to come along. I LOVED Dali and the Cocky Prince, I'm glad Park Gyu Young has a lead role, but this is forgettable....
just watched first 2 episodes. it's very generic.anyone feeling the same.Very generic, as in, felt and looked…
Hi Ninja, I agree with you. I’ve loved, loved, loved Junho since Just Between Lovers, have devoured everything he’s ever been in, but this is leaving me cold. I liked Yoona a lot in The Kings Affection. But everything about this drama feels forced. Here’s hoping it gets better. I’ve been waiting 6 months since Red Sleeve- usually Junho picks amazing scripts - we’ll just have to give this another few episodes ‘til it finds its groove 😀
One more day - I can't wait!!!!! I need more (well done) BL; Semantic Error, 8th Sense, To My Star. The quality of BL Kdramas is out of sight - they put Hollywood and European films to shame!
I really, really, really wanted to like this - love the cast and I'm all in for slow burns (Just Between Lovers is my all time fave!), but this just went on and on without anything happening. I gave it 7 episodes and had to say good bye. I'm in a semi-kdrama drought and this didn't help (though 8th sense was solid mini-spark - a slow burn that I want more of!).
Lee Sung Kyung rocked my world in Weightlifting Fairy, but everything else I've seen her in has been bleh.....
Sweet and nice. I came for Min Jae and fell in love with Min Ho. I actually saw the remake first ( My First, First Love on Netflix), but I think this one is better. Better ending, more realistic, better cast, overall just a better watch.
Making him clownish (running to the store, hiding under the bed in the hospital, etc.) and then having him take a child and hold her for money (again, I know that's not what happened, but that was the plan...) just doesn't jive for me.

We come to My Drama List because we love Asian tv shows and movies. There’s no place for that kind of hatred here.
FYI: George Soros is a Holocaust survivor- he knows the kind of violent propaganda you are spreading first hand.
