Is this show overrated? NO!!! Is this show a hidden gem of deep character development and emotions? YES!!!! Does this fall into the same old kdrama tropes that we all love and hate? NO!!!! Does the end of each episode make you ache for more? YES!!!
Some episodes are harder to watch than others, but this is a thoughtful BL series that will still make your heart flutter and hurt in each short 30 minute episode. The first ML is drop-dead gorgeous, but the second grows on you until unexpectently he is all you can think about. And yes, the best friend is annoying, but his reaction to findng out that his roommate is gay is priceless and beautiful. This is a mini-series you should definitely give your attention to - it is so special.
Hi, I really want to like this - it's on so many people's top ten list of 2022, but I can't seem to get into it. I'm on episode 6. When does it get cracky?
I've been wanting to try Golden Spoon because of Sung Jae! How is it so far??
I'm on episode 5 and it's cracky - the writer's know how to end each episode with a bang! Not the best kdrama, but decent, good acting,. Plus, I'm a sucker for the fantastical elements the kdramas do so darn well! They've ruined me for all other shows! (Watch Reborn Rich or Repeat the Year: 365- both are super cracky!)
Thanks everyone for your comments. I just started (and am already into) Golden Spoon, but when I finish that I will give L & P another go. The ML is breathtakingly gorgeous!!!!!
Hi, someone help me - I'm in the middle of episode 4 and I just can't connect to it. I like some C-dramas (Reset, Leagally Romance, A Love so Beautiful, Unrequited Love, Somewhere only we know, You are my hero), but I'm really struggling getting into this one. Does it get better after episode 5, or shoudl I just skip this and find another to watch. It got such high ratings...
is it only me or ML looks extremely young and childlish. i was so excited for that one and stopped watching after…
Don't give up on the show just yet. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Kim Min Jae in "Dali and the Cocky Prince," but if you're not into rom-coms, give "Do You Like Brahms" a try. You will not believe he is the same actor, the roles are so completely different. Originally I thought he was just a pretty face (and he is pretty, that's for sure), but he's got solid acting chops and great comic timing. Don't even get me started on his dancing - Yowsa!!!!
Hi Daisytan, I also really love KSS (and 21/25 , but the ending...) so much! Question: I started Snowdrop but…
Thanks! I’ll trust your advice. If you haven’t seen Dali and the Cocky Prince, give that one a try. I loved it- it’s like a younger sister to Her Private Life :)
I don’t know about anyone else but this show makes me sooooooo happy 😍I guess I love cheesy shows but honestly…
Hi Daisytan, I also really love KSS (and 21/25 , but the ending...) so much! Question: I started Snowdrop but dropped it after episode 3 (Not even my love of Jung Hae-In could keep me interested). Should I try again? I've loved everything else he's been in. Or, is it just so-so?
Usually I wait until the series finale to rate it, but I can't hold back - this is a 10 out of 10!!!! It's a little slow moving at first, and all of the love triangle, unemotional strict boss, tragic backstory, and "fate" cliches are there, but the supporting cast is so much fun and the female lead really grew on me. The writers know exactly how to end each episode to make you want more and it gets more and more addicting with each episode. I was in desperate need of a new kdrama obsession and this fit the bill. The only sad part is that, at 12 episodes, it's almost over. If you're on the fence, watch it and enjoy!!!!!
CTTO. I've just got this statement from twitter. "We often undermine those who are naïve, labeling them as ‘infantile’…
I hear you both - and I get that every drama isn't for everyone. I loved Legend of the Blue Sea, and the female lead has many similarities to Jinxed, but she never felt so helpless. I think it's one of the reaosns I dropped 30 but 17, as well.
I agree with gee's comment from two days ago. I really, really wanted to like this one - I'm in desperate need of a k-drama addiction fix. But after 2 episodes, I find my mind wandering too much to focus or care. I'm so over the innocent, infantilized main characters. It's barely passable with a male lead (Shopping Louis, anyone), but with a female lead I can't stomach it anymore. There are so many strong, independent, intelligent K-drama female leads (one of the reasons I fell in love with dramaland in the first place), that this feels like such a step-back. It's really too bad because the cast is solid (and the world needs more Ki Doo Hoon, that's for sure!!!). Let me know if it gets any better or if she stays the damsel-in-distress child who keeps waving to dead fish....

P.S. My Lovley Sam Soon was one of the early k-dramas that sucked me in, too :)

P.S. I dropped Go Ahead after 20 episodes, too
