And that’s kind of all you need to know about it. It did not really carry the tension, had not one character I was rooting for or even wanted to survive, extremely simple premise, no real plot twist - nothing to truly get me hooked.

And I don’t even know what the movie wanted to tell me… Be careful what you wish for? Be content with what you have? If you hit, just run, or the curse will follow? Don’t be selfless? There was nothing truly cohesive about the lore or the story and the ending left too many questions unanswered.

I did enjoy the performances. No matter the role Kim Byung Chul always delivers. I also loved the practical make up on the old man - looked extremely creepy. On the other hand, the special effects were rather… questionable.

Sometimes I truly question what makes these rather well known actors take roles in these mediocre movies. Do they produce that much revenue? Because that’s the only logical reason.

Overall, hard pass. It just truly gave me nothing.
